ISAT celebration at LMS

Today is Monday, October 27th, and it is an A day.

We had a wonderful time at the Fall Festival Dance on Friday. A big thank you to Kendra P and her committee for decorating, monitoring and serving at the dance. The pictures are on the district website!

I have attached the form that should come home today about our ISAT celebration for our current 7th and 8th grade students. We did very well as a school, and wanted to celebrate by taking those students to KICKS on Thursday from 10:30-1:00. Students may go early and purchase the buffet for $5.00, or stay at school and go over at 11:00 after they eat. Please send permission forms and money for the buffet (if your child is eating at KICKS) by Wednesday!

Seventh grade students who have Health class this semester will soon be completing a career exploration unit. The goal is to help students think about their future career choices. The activities include a career interest inventory to help students identify general career interests, a four-year high school plan prepared by each student, research into post-secondary training options and a visit to Lincoln Land Community College. Your student will be bringing home a copy of their 4-year high school plan and their career choice. This would be a great time to talk with your student about his or her career interests, and share your own experiences and suggestions. You are invited to join your student during the field trip to visit Lincoln Land Community College on November 7. Call Mrs. Kruger at 525-3236 for more information.

ISAT RESULTS: LMS continues to score well, and many of our students made personal growth on their scores. Mrs. Heyen, our Dean, went into classrooms to explain the individual reports that were given to students. She will be available during parent/teacher conferences to discuss your student's results with you.The staff has invited students to after-school instruction for Literacy and Math based on ISAT scores and current performance. Please return the forms to school, as we plan to start the after-school programs this week.
