Today is Friday, January 18, 2008, and it is an A day.
The city basketball tournament is tonight and Saturday at the convention center. Many of our students enjoy attending this event. The city has reinforced supervision over the past few years, making this a safer environment for students. We are reminding students that school and district policies are in effect at the games. They need to find a seat for the game, and stay seated during the game. District dress code policies are in effect. Any students involved in fighting will be arrested and suspended. Please review these policies with your student to ensure that this event is enjoyed by all!
8th grade students received a course handbook, and a registration sheet for high school this week. Please fill out the sheet that came home, even if you are applying for a transfer. Transfers are not granted until later in the spring, and you want to have your student's course choices on file before then. If a transfer is granted, the course requests will be transferred as well.
6th and 7th graders will be bringing home their registration sheets soon. Please fill out choices and send them back by the specified date.
