February 13, 2015

Good morning! Today is Friday, February 13, and it is a B day for everyone.

No School on Monday, February 16 (President’s Day)

The Annual Friendship Dance with Ball Charter School will be held on this evening at Ball Charter School. We have enjoyed participating in sports activities with many of the SBCS students, and look forward to combining our 6th, 7th and 8th graders for this dance. * Only LMS and SBCS 6th, 7th & 8th grade students will be allowed to attend. The dance will be from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. and admission is $5.00. We are also accepting donations of soda and cookies. Concessions and roses will be sold. If you are interested in volunteering or would like to help supervise please contact the main office. The district dress code will be enforced. Please make sure that you let your ride know they will need to be at Ball Charter at 8:00 p.m. We hope that everyone will be able to join us at the dance!

Scholastic Bowl Meet on Tuesday, February 17 @ Springfield Christian Church 5:00 p.m.

Spring pictures will be held on Thursday, February 19.

LMS is collecting BOX TOPS! Please bring your BOX TOPS to the office.

Students interested in participating in track will need to make sure that they have a current physical and athletic permit card on file prior to workouts beginning on March 2. Students that do not have a valid physical will not be permitted to participate. Athletic Permit Cards are located on the activity table in the main hallway.

7th & 8th grade cheerleaders and basketball players need to return their uniforms as soon as possible. Uniforms should be returned clean and in a bag with your name on the bag.

6th grade students, please remember that you need to have permission or an invitation from a teacher in order to stay after school to do work.

Do you want to be a Spartan Cheerleader? If so, please pick up a packet in your main office for more information. Tryouts will be held on March 28! Contact Coach Denysha Hughes with any questions.
