Good morning! Today is Tuesday, August 30, and it is an A Day for everyone.
We are excited to announce that all of our students have received intense training on their MacBook Laptops and we are preparing to host a parent training. LMS will host 4 parent training's for all sixth grade families and 7th and 8th grade families that are new to LMS.
Parents should attend one of the four meetings (listed below) to learn about the computers and to allow their student to take the computer home.
4:00 p.m. - 4:45 p.m
5:15 p.m. - 6:00 p.m
7:15 a.m. - 8:00 a.m.
11:15 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
* If you have attended the laptop training for a sibling or you are a District 186 educator you do not need to attend.

* All LMS students will need to provide proof of insurance in order to take their laptop home. The insurance form must include the specific dates of coverage.
Sixth grade girls basketball practice today at Ball Charter from 3:30-5:00 p.m. Any 6th grade girls still interested in participating may attend. Please let Mr. Hampsey know at lunch if did not attend tryouts but are still interested.
7th & 8th Grade Girls Basketball Tryouts will be held this evening at Ball Charter School from 6:00-7:30 p.m. If there is a conflict, please contact Mr. Hampsey. Students will need their own ride to and from tryouts. Students must have an updated physical on file prior to the first practice. Tryouts are closed, and only 7th & 8th grade girls participating in tryouts will be permitted inside Ball Charter.
Students in the 7th & 8th grade interested in trying out for Boys Basketball must have an updated physical on file by the first day of tryouts. Please contact Mr. Hampsey (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you have questions.
Drop off and Pick Up Procedures: Students who are car riders will need to be dropped off in the morning on the Capitol Street side of the building. Dismissal- parents may not park on Monroe Street (behind the building), 12th Street (east of the building), nor on Capitol Street (in front of the building). All other side streets, as well as the church parking lot on the corner of 12th Street & Monroe Street, may be used for student pick up.
Parents should not drive on the blacktop to park, or for student drop off or pick up. **During the school day, the blacktop parking lot is reserved for LMS and District staff only.
