Good Morning! Today is Wednesday, February 19th and it is a B Day for everyone!! 

Happy Birthday Shout Out to Mrs. Wright!!!

SONGFEST: Songfest will be meeting everyday at lunch and after school TODAY, Wednesday from 1:30-4:00pm. There will be activity busses. 

HOCKEY anyone? If you love hockey and love hearing our choir sing, come on out on Sunday, Feb. 23rd to the Springfield Jr. Blues hockey game beginning at 4:00pm. Choir students need to be at the Nelson Center by 3:15pm. Any questions, see Mr. Russell.

7th/8th Volleyball: Lady Leopards have a busy week this week with 3 back-to-back games. Remember to stay healthy, get your homework done, and if you need to see the athletic trainer for anything, let Mrs. Lott know. In regards to Thursday's game and Open House, there is nothing that can be changed in regards to the game, my apologies. 

Incoming 6th Grade Preview Night:  Congratulations to those incoming 6th graders that have been accepted into LMS for the 2020-2021 school year!! Come meet your teachers and tour the school during our 6th Grade Preview Night on Thursday, February 20th @6-7pm. We have a fun scavenger hunt waiting for you, and school spirit wear will be on sale as well! 

JAZZ BAND: No Practice on Thursday, but please report back to the school by 5:15pm for Open House preparation. See Mr. Russell if you have any questions.

BAND & CHOIR: Please try and get your order forms returned with payment by Feb. 24th or earlier so that we will have them back in time for the St. Patricks Day Parade. All pricing is listed on the order form. Students are allowed to wear any items purchased during the school day as well. 

TRACK: Calling all students interested in running track, staying in shape, or participating in field sports!! We will begin track season in March. If you are in 7th or 8th grade and have not gotten an updated physical in the past year, please do so before the season starts. All athletes must have a current physical on file to participate.

  • Did you Know: Did you know Dorie Miller was the 1st African-American hero from the attack on Pearl Harbor? He carried wounded crewmen to safety and manned a machine gun post shooting down several Japanese planes!
