Good Morning Leopards!!! Today is Friday, September 18th
Happy Birthday Shout Out to Donnell S.!!!, and over the weekend to Skyler R.!!!
FREE FOOD: Did you know that you can get a free breakfast and free lunch everyday we have school?? Also, you can go to almost any school in the district and pick one up. There is still hot lunch options just like if you were in school!! COOL! Take a look at the menu. Here are the schools that are NOT offerring food pick-up Lincoln Magnet, Lee, Laketown, DuBois, Wilcox, Lawrence Adult, and ELC.
Cross Country: Our Leopards ran a great race yesterday at Lincoln Park against Franklin.
Congratulations to the boy's race winner, Luke M, who ran a personal best time of 13:45!
Congratulations to Nikala W, Sam H, and Ben C who also posted personal best times!
Weekend Assignment: CC Team members, run 5 miles over the weekend. You may run all 5 miles at once or divide it up if you wish. A good idea might be a pair of two-mile runs and a fast mile, say a run each day on the weekend and rest Monday. Do your best. Send coach Lynn an email that says how you divided the five miles or if you ran it all at once. Also include your times for your runs. Thanks, we are very proud of you and your effort!!
Regionals: Softball and Baseball Regional information has been posted on the LMS website under Daily Announcements. Come on out and support our Leopards as both teams compete in the first round of Regionals, with hope of winning! Let's Go Leopards!
ART "Challenge": Mrs. Minch will be hosting an Inktober challenge for LMS throughout the month of October. Here is your first opportunity for a club experience this new school year. Look on the LMS website, as well as Mrs. Minch's teacher page for all the details! You don't have to be an art student to participate. We at Lincoln Magnet will be sharing our drawings in weekly Zoom meetings and collecting our favorites to share with others in a presentation. Sounds like fun!!
Canvas and Homework: Please remember that everything students need or need access to is on their Canvas accounts. As a school, we are all learning new ways to make our students (and parents) lives easier during these Remote Learning Times. We encourage everyone to spend time exploring your Canvas courses, and the different aspects of each course. As always, if you have any questions please feel free to contact the school or your teacher directly.
