Hello Leopards!! Today is Thursday, October 15th and it's a great day to get work done!

Happy Birthday today to Will E., Kate E., and Elhana N. Wishing you all the best today!!

Welcoming Ritual: Name something you can do today to make someone feel special, in class or at home! Examples: write someone a nice note/email, pick up your stuff without being told, help cook dinner, or give someone a hug :)

SAEBRS: This week LMS students will take the SAEBRS screener on their laptop in their PE classes. As mentioned last week in our parent email, this screener will help us identify which students may be in need of extra social and emotional support in order to be most successful at LMS.  All students should have received an email from Principal Heyen on Friday with their username and password. If your student did not receive an email from Principal Heyen please contact our main office.

Zoom Expectations: A few reminders that on Zoom you must have your first and last name, typed correctly, in order to be let into the classroom. Please do not use other names or you will not be let in for safety and security reasons. If you need help changing your name, contact Mr. VanDerSlik at gslik@sps186.org. Also....

National Calendar Day: Today is "National Cheese Curd Day". National Cheese Curd Day is observed annually on October 15th. This is a day to enjoy the velvety goodness of cheese curds. Cheese Curds are unique, funky, snackable little pieces of yellow or white Wisconsin cheddar cheese. Many restaurants coat and deep-fried them to a golden brown.

"National Aesthetician Day" With specialized training and personalized attention, aestheticians bring out the most radiant skin in each of us. Their knowledge and skills often go unrecognized and yet they deliver superior services every day in spas and medical clinics across the country.  Addressing the complex needs of their clientele, aestheticians rejuvenate and polish even the most sensitive skin.
