October 23, 2020

Good Morning!! Today is Friday, October 23rd and it's a great day for learning!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our Assistant Principal Mrs. Lott! Enjoy your day!

Welcoming Ritual: "You've got to get up everyday with determination if you are going to go bed with satisfaction" What are you determined to do today?

Scholastic Bowl: It's still not to late to sign up, if you would like to be a part of Scholastic Bowl send Mrs. Lott an email!

MAP TESTING: Rest up over the weekend as we will take our MATH MAP Assessment on Monday!

Cross Country: Please wash and return your uniforms to the school as soon as you can.

FREE HOMEWORK PASSES: Sounds exciting right?!?!... Here is how you can earn one:

  • Any student who has no failing grades on their report card at the end of the quarter (which is THIS Friday) will receive one virtual free homework pass. This means that Mrs. Sevener will send you an electronic homework pass to use in any one class you would like. This homework pass does have some stipulations, such as can not be used on tests or quizzes, but it's also at the discretion of the teacher on what you can and can not use your homework pass, for ask in advance :)

SPORTS: To all athletes who are inspiring to compete in sports. Please keep your grades up!! You can not fail a semester class or have a GPA less than a 2.0. Semester grades are 1st quarter + 2nd quarter. Hopefully everyone got an email from Mrs. Lott yesterday if you played sports last year :)

National Calendar Day: Today is "National Boston Cream Pie Day". National Boston Cream Pie Day serves up a delicious dessert on October 23rd each year. Pie lovers, move along. Cake lovers, pull up a chair. Let’s celebrate the cake with an identity crisis! Boston Cream Pie is a chocolate frosted, custard-filled cake that is loved by millions. In 1856, at Boston’s Parker House Hotel, French chef Monsieur Augustine Francois Anezin created this pudding and cake combination.
