Happy Birthday TODAY to Ashten B. and Xanthony D.!! Enjoy your day gentlemen.

Happy Birthday yesterday, Nov. 1st to Andrew R.! We hope your day was great!!

Welcoming Ritual: What do you look forward to when you wake up? Find your source of strength and motivation. Go out and seize the day (Carpe Diem)!

Nov. 3rd- No School: November 3rd is now a federal holiday so there is no school for students and staff. There will also be no assignments that will be due that day as it is a non-workday. Please make sure to complete your independent learning on Monday and then pick up your week again on Wednesday.

Jazz Band: Jazz Band is beginning to get udnerway!! If you are interested in becoming a part of our Jazz Band after school club, please email the band director Mr. Russell at wrussell@sps186.org. It will meet after school hours, on Zoom of course, and you do not have to be in regular band class to be a part. However, students must be proficient on a standard jazz band instrument (sax, trumpet, trombone, piano, guitar, bass, drum set).

Virtual Open House: This Thursday, Nov. 5th is our Virtual Open House! We are excited to welcome 5th grade families in to see a glimpse of what Lincoln Magnet has to offer students in middle school. More information about times, zoom link, and details will be posted on the LMS website later this week.

Parent/Teacher Conferences: We are still taking sign-ups up until next Friday. There are some cases in which parents would like to speak to more than two teachers or a group conference, please reach out to Mrs. Sevener if you have any questions.

National Calendar Day: Today is "National Deviled Egg Day". National Deviled Egg Day features a favorite hors-d’oeuvre or side dish for parties, holidays, family reunions and potluck dinners. Deviled eggs are the star of the show each year on November 2nd.

"National Color the World Orange Day" The first Monday in November is dedicated to bringing awareness to Complex Regional Pain Syndrome and Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy with Color the World Orange Day. Complex Regional Pain Syndrome and Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (CRPS) involves high levels of nerve impulses sent to an affected site in the body.
