Good morning Southeast Students and Staff, today is Thursday, October 3rd.  Remember that successful Spartans ARE RESPECTFUL, they follow classroom and school wide expectations and allow for learning throughout the building.

Homecoming Dance is Saturday, October 5th from 7-10 here at Southeast High School.  Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.  They are on sale this week in the commons.  Cash only!  


FAFSA is open! We will have a FAFSA completion night for Seniors and their parents on Monday, October 7th in the Library at 6:00. Remember to bring your financial information with you. Upcoming campus visits - Eastern Illinois University October 10th - We need more students for the EIU visit, Lincoln College in Illinois on November 1st. Stop by the college room for a permission slip. 


Juniors and Seniors---The University of Illinois will be in the college room today at 10:00 - please sign up to speak with the rep from the U of I. Also, space is still available for the campus visit to Eastern Illinois University on October 10th. EIU admissions reps are waiving the application fee for any Seniors who participate in the campus visit on October 10th. Get your permission slip today!

All girls that are interested in playing basketball this year there will be pre-season work out today from 3:30pm-4:30pm, meet in the gym.


Hey Southeast   Did you know that we are partnering with Project Mack and the other area High Schools to host the 2nd annual Trunk or Treat Event on Sunday October 27th?  Did you know that last year we passed out candy to HUNDREDS of area children?   Did you know that you could win prizes for best-decorated car?  Did you know we are also collecting gently worn shoes to donate to local school children?  We would like to challenge you to create a team and sign up outside room 218!!!!   Help make this event another wonderful one for our community! 


Tutoring is available Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays from 3:30 – 4:30

English – Mrs. Jones, room 214. 

Math – Mrs. Urbanek, room 124

Social Science – Mrs. Hennenfent, room 204

Science – Mr. Walls, room 234 on Mondays and Tuesday’s

Science – Mr. Potter, room 141 on Thursday’s only


21st Century will begin next Monday, October 7 in the library from 3:30 – 5:30pm.  If you plan to attend you will need to fill out an application.  They are located in the main office, student office and the guidance office.  Please return all completed applications to the main office.


There will be girls tennis practice today after school.


Boy’s basketball conditioning is cancelled this afternoon.
