The Illinois representative from Vanderbilt University will be at Glenwood High School on Sept. 29 at 7:00p.m. to speak with students and parents about selective college admissions. Mark your calendars and attend.

Do you need a new t shirt to show your school spirit? Stop by the Be A Senator Store in the commons on Tuesdays and Thursdays to purchase school tshirts for only $10.00! Notebooks, pens, mechanical pencils and many more items are also available. Support your Be A Senator Store!

Students interested in attending the Capital Area Education College Fair to meet with representatives from numerous colleges need to pick up a permission slip in the guidance office. The permission form must be signed and returned to the guidance office by 3:30 on Monday, October 4th. This is an opportunity to meet with college admissions representatives.

Don't have a parking space? Need one? Be A Senator will be raffling 2 choice parking spaces that are located in the annex lot against the fence. Raffle tickets are 25 cents and may be purchased at lunch in the commons at the BAS store and also in room 106 from Ms. Greco. We will sell raffle tickets the weeks of 9/27-10/8. Winners will be announced 10/13; the winning students may begin parking in their spots 10/18 and continue through 12/18. Winners must provide driver's license, proof of insurance, and vehicle registration to obtain the parking tag.

Juniors interested in National Honor Society and current NHS members: the Healthy Springfield Expo, October 10, and Indian Summer Festival at Lincoln Memorial Garden, October 9-10, are in need of many volunteers. Please sign up on the NHS bulletin board by Friday if you can help in any way. See Mrs. Ruedin, room 360, for more info.

Homecoming tickets will go on sale beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, September 22 in the commons on both lunch shifts. Singles tickets are $10 and couples are $15. You will need your student ID to purchase tickets. Each student may only buy either 1 single or 1 couples ticket.

There will be a chess club meeting on Thursday, September 30th in room 222. Please turn in your drug and alcohol form by the 3oth of September.

Attention Sophomores: The class of 2013 will be selling class shirts in the commons during both lunch hours. Shirts are only $15! Come to the commons and support your class! Shirts will be on sale from Sept. 27-Oct. 1! Hurry in!
