Lunch visits do not require a pass. All scheduled times do need a pass from Guidance or from Mrs. Povse.

African-American seniors: The Delta Sigma Theta Sorority is offering scholarships for those who are pursuing enrollment in an accredited college or university for fall. Applications are available from Mrs. Povse and must be postmarked by April 15.

HBCU Campus Tour Springfield Urban League is sponsoring a bus trip to the Historically Black Colleges and Universities during spring break, April 17-22nd. Cost is $450. For additional information or to sign up contact Candace Silas at 544-0548 Ext. 240

ATTENTION ALL SHS STUDENTS and STAFF: Be a Senator has a great opportunity for raising money for Springfield High. For every yellow cap we collect from PEPSI products, we receive 5 CENTS. We need your help. Please place all YELLOW CAPS in the white Pepsi barrels in the commons. We will be collecting the caps until April 30. Thanks for your help!

Senior men going to University of Illinois, Urbana: The Psi Upsilon Scholarship for men who exhibit the highest moral, intellectual and social excellence is now available. $2000, $750, and $250 awards. Upload the application at www.illinipsiu.com before Sept. 19.

If you didn't get your report card on Friday, stop by the Guidance Office to pick it up.

Click your heals and grab your ticket now! “The Wiz” will be presented in the SHS Schnirring Auditorium April 1 and 2 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 3 at 2:00 p.m. Student tickets are $5 and tickets for adults are $8. And in other news... The cafeteria will be unveiling their new baked treat by changing their monkey bread recipe to “flying monkey bread”.

German Club is showing the movie “Beyond Silence” in room 250 after school today. Please see a German teacher for the parent-permission form. Drink and snacks will be provided.

Seniors! Graduation announcements will be delivered today! Pick up yours in the commons thru lunch. Any remaining balance is due at this time. If you miss today, Josten’s will be back tomorrow ONLY!!

Students who signed up to help with tonight’s Student Council Senior Citizen Dinner! If you did not receive a note to confirm your volunteer sign-up for the Senior Citizen dinner yesterday, you are not needed to stick around after school today. Thank you for your offer!

The Girls Soccer team improved to 6 – 1 with a 9 – 0 victory over Lanphier. Olivia Rosen, Erin Shultz, Kelsey Slaughter, Madeline Wagner, Jourdan Moultrie, Sloane Chapman, and Jackie Pascoe scored for the Senators. Amy Allison and Amanda Milburn were in goal for the shut-out
