FOR STUDENTS WHO WILL BE SOPHOMORES OR JUNIORS NEXT FALL: Washington University, St. Louis is holding a "Road to College" program 2 times this summer, June 9 or July 26. The free conference will help you get started on the path to great college planning. See Mrs. Povse for details.
SENIORS: The Frontiers International Scholarship ($750) is now available with a quick turn around time as the deadline is tomorrow. Must show acceptance to college or university, show school and community involvement and write a one page narrative. See Mrs. Povse for application.
Prom tickets will be sold during both lunch shifts in the commons. Tickets are $35 for a couple and $25 for a single. If you do not purchase your ticket in advance, you may only buy a singles ticket at the door for $30. Cash or checks made payable to SHS.
The Phat Expo and 21st Century All-Star Basketball games scheduled for Today at the Southeast High School Gym has been cancelled. If you have any questions, see Mr. Carson.
Applications to be on the Newspaper staff for next year are now available!! Pick them up in Ms. Negele's room, 362. The applications are due no later than TOMORROW. You cannot be on the staff without going through this application process!
The freshman class will be selling Pizza Hut Breadsticks today! Three breadsticks and sauce will be sold for a low price of $2.00. A limited amount of breadsticks and sauce will be available TODAY on both lunch shifts, so get there as soon as possible!
National Honor Society Juniors: Many volunteers are needed for Senior night, May 19. Please see Mrs. Ruedin this week to sign up to help at Senior night next Thursday.
All Scholastic Bowl team members need to see Mr. Adkins this week regarding the end of the year banquet.
Minority seniors: the Phi Beta Sigma fraternity is offering a $500 scholarship. 2.5 GPA, 3 letters of recommendation, 2 essays. See Mrs. Povse for application.
The seniors began sharing their college, military or work decisions for fall this week in the commons. Check out the flags on the US and state of Illinois maps. Seniors, if you didn't get your flag made yet, please do so at lunch today. The board is on the west wall of the commons. Also check the scholarship offers that students have thus far disclosed. Keep watching that board as we will be updating it daily with new scholarship offers. The class of 2011 has earned millions in award offers. Congratulations, seniors.

Attention Senators! Due to increased demand, we will be taking orders for Be A Senator shirts, hoodies, sweat shirts & sweats for a few more days. The sweatpants are $16, short sleeve shirts are $12, long sleeve shirts are $15, crew neck sweatshirts are $16, and hoodies are $28. The sweat pants are a new addition - new order forms may be picked up in room 106 or found on the website. All orders must be turned in to room 106 no later than May 18th. Items ordered should be ready for pick-up by May 27th. Show your Senator Pride!
Attention Spanish Club Members! Spanish Club will elect officers for next year at a special meeting on Tuesday, May 17th after school. Spanish Club officers lead the club. If you are an active member now, we will see you at the meeting on the 17th in room 260 to run for OR to vote for Spanish club leaders next year.
