The Illinois State Board of Education is accepting applications for the Student Advisory Council for the 2011-2012 school year. There are 10 openings on the 15-member council. Any Illinois public school student who will be a sophomore, junior or senior is eligible to apply. An application is available online at http://www.isbe.net/SAC/default.htm It must be returned to the State Board of Education by 4 p.m. on Friday, May 27, 2011. See Mrs. Stahly with questions
Attention German Club! Please join us for our last movie of the year. We will be showing “The Inheritors” today. Please pick up a parent permission form from one of the German teachers. Snacks and drinks will be provided. Also, German Club officer elections will be held in room 250 after school on Thursday, May 26th. If you are a German Club member, please come and vote.
Freshmen who have a permit and have not yet turned the receipt into Ms. Dvorak please do so before summer break.

Seniors: The Annette Walker Scholarship from Zeta Phi Beta Sorority is now available. Minimum 3.0 on 4. 0 GPA scale, 3 letters of recommendation, essay.
Black Affairs Advisory Council Scholarship: 2.5 GPA, proven community service, leadership potential, essay, 2 letters of recommendation. Both available from Mrs. Povse, both due June 30.
Juniors: Are you in the top 10% of your class? Are you interested in a scholarship to Illinois College in Jacksonville? If so, see Mrs. Povse before the end of the week.
