You must get a pass from Mrs. Povse or from the Guidance Office to be excused to hear these reps. Passes are not required for the LUNCH visits which take place in the Commons. A complete list of the representative visits is posted in the glass case outside of Guidance as well as on the school website under the GUIDANCE link.

Seniors interested in applying to Eastern Illinois University for Free:
On November 17 an admissions representative from EIU will be here to conduct a live admissions program. Have your application, essay, transcript, (and letters of recommendation if needed) and your application will be processed on the spot FOR FREE. No application fee! You will be notified of your acceptance that day. See Mrs. Povse for additional details.

Scholarship opportunities for SENIORS: Sikich: $500 renewable scholarship for those entering a career in Accounting. Sangamon Valley MENSA: $300-$1000, essay describing career, vocational or academic goal. See Mrs. Povse for application information.

TO FORMER CAMP CARE-A-LOT CAMPERS: Edye Shultz will be in Mrs. Povse's office today at 2:00. Former campers who are Seniors or who will be 16 by July can see her about scholarship or camp leadership opportunities.

SENIORS: Be advised that the November 1 Priority deadline for the University of Illiniois and other select schools is fast approaching. If you need Mr. Williams to complete any Guidance information please get that to him by tomorrow, Thursday, Oct. 27th.

National Honor Society: Our regular monthly meeting will occur Today in the library from 3:30-4:00pm. It is mandatory to attend just one of the meetings. Also, hours are due for the month of October.

Hey hey JSA! We will be having a debate this week. We will be debating U.S economic ties to Israel and whether or not they should be continued. Come for food and fun- and bring your friends!

Attention Attention Class of 2012! This is your final week to purchase your class t-shirt. $12 for short sleeve and $15 for long sleeve. Shirts will be sold Today in the commons during both lunch shifts. Don’t forget to buy your shirt before time runs out.

Attention All Students! Our German Exchange students will be giving a musical performance in the auditorium at 6 PM today. We would like to invite you to come. Hope to see you there!

Read for a Lifetime Participants check with Mrs. Dahmane in the library to make sure she has your name and information. The final list goes to the State Library on Friday.

SHS Idol auditions will be today after school in the choir room

Would you like something awesome to do this weekend? Then come out and support this year’s Fall Play! There will be 3 one-act plays of differing genres, so there’s something for everyone! Showtimes are this Friday and Saturday at 7 PM and Sunday at 2 PM, October 28 - 30. Call the main office to reserve tickets or purchase at the door. SITE Club is meeting Thursday, come to talk about robots……also free food!

Will Teichman and Manuel Jorquera scored in the last 7 minutes to lead the Senators to a 2 to 0 victory over Champaign Centennial. Andy Pedrazza made 7 saves to record the shut-out. The Senators will face Mt. Zion for the Sectional Championship Friday night.
