Northern Illinois University is hold and Admissions Information Reception on Monday, Nov. 7 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Register at
Lanphier High School will be hosting a College Fair Tuesday, Nov. 8 from 5:30-7:00 in the LHS Commons. Over 35 Illinois and Missouri colleges will be represented. Dinner is provided by Benedictine University and drinks by McDonalds.
CACC students: Your Quarter 1 grades are now in. If you would like a new report card printed, please see Mrs. Esela in the Guidance Office.
Seniors: Make sure your photo is in the UNTAMED 2011/12 yearbook! Sign up to get your picture taken by Grussenmeyer when they come to SHS on November 30th! The sign up sheet is on the glass case outside the Main office. You can also call Grussenmeyer at 787-6688 to set up an appointment in the studio. Get your photo taken by December 20th to be in the yearbook.
The 3rd annual Dodge Ball Tournament hosted by the Booster Club will be on Thursday, November 10th at 6:30 PM in the SHS gymnasium. Registration and waiver forms are available in the main office. A sign-up table will be available during lunch next week. Cost is $30 per team in advance, $35 at the door.

Student Council is asking for ideas for the City T-shrts that are sold for the City Basketball games. If you have an idea or drawing then please see Miss Maloney or drop it by the school store on either lunch shift by Wednesday, November 16. The student with the winning design will receive free t-shirts.
Attention all 10th graders, if you have not taken behind the wheel yet you need to stop by Ms. Dvorak’s room 128 and schedule a time slot. Please do this before school or the last 5 minutes of lunch A or lunch B.
There will be a meeting for all interested boy swimmers AND their parents in the SHS Commons on Monday November 14 at 7 PM.

There will be an informational meeting for students interested in joining National Honor Society this coming Tuesday Nov. 8 at 7pm in the SHS auditorium. Studies show that students who are involved in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities get better grades overall, and are more satisfied with their high school experience. Please consider joining one of the many, offered here at your Springfield High School.
The Xcountry team ended their season Saturday at the State Meet. BOth boys and hires finished 4th at state. Kirby Hale placed third earning her all state honors for the 4th time. nathan Hoffman and Sam Cross placed 20th and 21st earning all state honors as well. Great Job!
All Xcountry athletes are to turn in equipment to Coach Devlin this week and pick up a banquet form.
Boys Soccer-Zabian Morris was named to the Illinois High School Soccer Coaches Assc All State soccer team. Will Teichman earned All-Sectional honors while Peter Bremhorst and Andy Pedraza received Honorable Mention All Sectional. Great Job guys!
