Juniors and Seniors: The next college bus trip will be to Eastern Illinois University in Charleston on December 8. Permission slips are available from Mrs. Povse or in the Guidance Office. The bus will leave at 7:45 and return by 3:30.

The following scholarships are now available - J.P. Morgan Chase Bank, Henry Bunn Memorial Scholarship for college bound students who need financial assistance; the Polly Roesch Vocal Music scholarship and audition information for students majoring in vocal music; the Skelton Scholarship for students who need financial assistance to attend a 2 or 4 year college or a specialized vocational training program; and the Davey Scholarship Loan Program. See Mrs. Povse for applications.

The Independent Order of Odd Fellows and Rebekahs of Illinois are offering $1000 scholarships for students with financial need.

Have you contributed to Illinois Natural Resources throughout high school? If so, you can apply for a scholarship through the Illinois Conservation Foundation.

The Plato and Flora McCourtney Foundation scholarship for students majoring in a technical or scientific field is now available. This is a renewable $3000 award. See Mrs. Povse for scholarship applications.

Seniors: If you want to be pictured in the amazing 2011-2012 yearbook, make sure you get your photo taken by Grussenmeyer/Class Act by December 20th. Sign up on the sheet outside the main office to have it taken when Grussenmeyer comes to SHS on November 30th, or call them at 217/787-6688 for a studio appointment. The sitting fee is $15.00

Attention Seniors: There will be a Senior Meeting with Jostens TOMORROW: Period 2 = girls & Period 5 = boys & CACC students. You must report to class for attendance purposes.

Seniors! If you chose a basketball pass as your Prairie State Exam Incentive, it’s ready! Stop by the main office and pick it up from Mrs. Fisher.

FREE T-SHIRTS FOR BLOOD DONORS!! Staff & Students 16 or older can donate blood to the Central Illinois Community Blood Center on Tue., Nov. 29, from 8:30am-2:30pm. Students aged 16 must have a signed parental consent form. You must sign up during lunch, before school, or after school in the Guidance Office by 3:30 pm on Monday, Tue., Nov. 28. Teachers & Staff do not need to sign up, you can report to the auditorium at your convenience. Please donate. Mrs. Fisher, in the Main Office, is LIVING Proof that blood donations SAVE LIVES! She received 3 units of blood through two life-saving transfusions! Any questions-please see Mr. Williams.

All boys and girls Soccer players see Mr. Phillips in room 404. Boys players must turn in uniforms to Room 404 by November 23rd, fines will be issued. All boys & girls soccer players NOT PLAYING a winter sport meet in room 404 Tuesday at 3:30 PM. Fundraiser information will be handed out.

All boys interested in Track & Field that are not involved in a winter sport are invited to come to a short meeting Tuesday after school in the commons. See Coach Cotner if you have any questions, or you cannot make the meeting.
