Seniors! If you chose a basketball pass as your Prairie State Exam Incentive, it’s ready! Stop by the main office and pick it up from Mrs. Fisher.

National Honor Society: Our next meeting will be today and tomorrow after school in the library.

Attention German Club! The Advent calendars have arrived! Please come get them for $4 a piece to give away to your family, friends, neighbors, teachers, staff, and administrators for the holiday season. Hurry to room 250 before they are all gone before December!

Seniors! Josten’s will be here tomorrow to receive your graduation orders. Please bring your package order forms with $60 deposit to order table in commons. Order your class ring and your cap/gown is free. Senior ‘Blackout’ is Thursday, December 1st.

SOPHOMORES OR JUNIORS INTERESTED IN THE U.S. NAVAL ACADEMY: Lt. Dan Malone from the admissions office of the Naval Academy at Annapolis will be here on Today at 12:45 to meet with interested students. Please get a pass in Guidance for this presentation.

Seniors: If you want to be pictured in the amazing 2011-2012 yearbook, make sure you get your photo taken by Grussenmeyer/Class Act by December 20th. Sign up on the sheet outside the main office to have it taken when Grussenmeyer comes to SHS TOMORROW, or call them at 217/787-6688 for a studio appointment. The sitting fee is $15.00

Attention German Club! Do you care about the environment? If you are interested in helping with the paper recycling program, please come to room 250 after school today

German Club will be showing the movie “Der Rauber” in room 250 after school on Wednesday. Please see a German teacher for the parent-permission form. Snacks and drinks will be provided.

Be A Senator will be selling hot, delicious Papa John's pizza for $2 per slice during both lunch shifts on Thursday in the commons. Pizza, pizza, pizza, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday!!!!

All participants of No Shave November! Meet Wednesday morning (November 30th) at 8:10 AM on the front steps of the building for a yearbook picture! In case of rain, the photo will be taken in the gym. Be on time because the photo will be taken promptly at 8:10. You don’t want to miss the opportunity to be in it!

This Thursday, December 1 is World AIDS Day! Join the Youth Wellness Bureau & The Phoenix Center at Southeast High School in the auditorium from 4 to 6pm for food, fun, and information. All community youth are invited. Get your friends and come on over! Afterwards join us at Laketown Lanes for Bowling for Hope. Cost is $10 for 2 hours of bowling and shoes. All proceeds benefit the Phoenix Center. This week look for the YWB table in the commons to win FREE stuff.

Today's facts about HIV/AIDS.... HIV stands for Human Immunodefiency Virus and it is the virus that causes AIDS. AIDS stands for the Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome and the late stage of the HIV infection when a person's immune system is severely damaged and has difficulty fighting diseases and opportunistic infections. HIV is the leading cause of death and disease for women 15-49, worldwide! Although there is no cure for HIV, it is 100% preventable! Get the facts! And remember, Thursday, December 1 is World AIDS day - wear red!

Hey hey JSA! We will be having a gavel debate this week. We will be debating "which is the greater evil? Republicans or democrats?" Come for food and fun and bring your friends!

Attention students & teachers: The SHS Do Something Club is hosting a Toy Drive for needy kids. SHS families in need will get first dibs at picking a toy, and remaining toys will be donated to Contact Ministries. No need to wrap the gift. Just choose & label the gift as boy or girl, and the age from zero to 15 years old. No Weapons or Violent Toys Accepted. Deadline to drop off a gift in the Main Office & Guidance Office is Tues, Dec 13.

Anime Club will have its annual dance this Friday from 4:30 to 6pm. All SHS students are welcome. Buy discounted tickets before the dance from Mrs. Barkmeier or pay $8 at the door.
Students & Staff! The theme for this year’s yearbook is untamed. If you purchase one of these amazing books BEFORE December 20th, it is $50 and you are guaranteed to be in it at least 3 times. After December 20th, it is $60. You can purchase your yearbook in Room 370 at lunch or after school. See Mrs. Barkmeier or any Capitoline staff member if you have questions!

Students & Staff! Do you want to make your 2011-2012 yearbook even more special? Happy Ads can be purchased for graduating students or sports teams/clubs to congratulate them on a great year. Purchase Ads before December 20th in Mrs. Barkmeier’s room, 370 for a special price. After December 20thg, the prices for each size increases.
