Students interested in taking AP Exams need to come to the Guidance Office to sign up. Each exam is $87. Please bring cash or check when signing up.
Interested in Scrabble? Then Scrabble fans, please come enjoy a game of Scrabble during lunch on Tuesdays & Thursdays in Room 109 (Mr. Crum's old office under the stairwell). ACT prep Courses begin today, March 6 - April 13 (Tuesdays and Thursdays only 5 - 7 PM) at the Springfield Urban League. This is free to Springfield Urban League 21st Century students and $50 for non-participants. Two Practice Exams will be given -one at the beginning of the course, and the other toward the end. This course is 24 instructional hours of ACT preparation in 4 Content Areas (English, Reading, Math, Science) and Test-Taking Strategies. See Mr. Carson to get signed up.

The Lady Senators Track & Field team won the Jacksonville Indoor Invitational at Illinois College Friday Night. Finishing in 1st place for the Lady Senators were Mady McCarty in the 400, the 4 x 100 relay team of Kirby Hale, Christina Kropid, Sarah Sepanski, and Miriam Agamah, the 4 x 800 team of Christina Kropid, Christy Rolf, Mads Nelson, and Kirby Hale. Second place finishers were Sarah Sepanski in the 55 and Kirby Hale in the 1600.
The Boys track and field team finished in 1st place at the Jacksonville Indoor Invitational on Friday night. Event Champions for SHS were: the 4x800 relay team of Sam Cross, Tyler Owens, Will Butler, and Nathan Hoffman; the 4x200 relay team of Quazara Prather, Danan Beedie, Peter Bremhorst, and Malik Harrison; and the 4x400 relay team of Luke Farley, Peter Bremhorst, Sam Cross, and Alex Halloway. The boys next compete at the Danville Open Saturday.
