The University of Illinois Lincolnland Illini Club is offering 2 $750 scholarships toward tuition. A 200 word essay entitled
“Why U of I” is the requirement. Due May 11.
The Family Service Center is offering a scholarship for students who were in foster care or are adopted. Applications due April 30. See Mrs. Povse for these applications.

Senior minority students who are applying for the Springfield Urban League scholarship - Be sure that you note the new essay prompt, "Describe how you have demonstrated leadership ability both in and out of school.” The prompt on the website was from last year.
FREE T-SHIRTS FOR BLOOD DONORS!! Staff & Students 16 or older can donate blood to the Central Illinois Community Blood Center on Tue., Mar. 27, from 8:30am-2:30pm. Students aged 16 must have a signed parental consent form. You must sign up during lunch, before school, or after school in the Guidance Office by 3:30 pm on Monday, Mar. 26. Teachers & Staff do not need to sign up, you can report to the auditorium at your convenience. Please donate. Mrs. Fisher, in the Main Office, is LIVING Proof that blood donations SAVE LIVES! Sophomores - Jostens will be back tomorrow for students still wishing to order Class rings. Please bring forms to the commons before school between 7:30 and 8:25 Am. A $60 deposit is needed with the order form.
Capitoline needs an Awesome staff next school year. Will that include you? Capitoline is now accepting applications until Monday, March 26. Pick up applications in Mrs. Barkmeier’s room 370.
This is a reminder for students to bring their address sheets for St. Jude to homeroom on Wednesday. St. Jude is a cancer research hospital that benefits all hospitals, including the ones in town. You were given sheets at the last homeroom for you to gather addresses of relatives, neighbors and friends. Please bring those sheets with you to homeroom on Wednesday to address envelopes.
Students are reminded they CANNOT come to the nurse’s office between classes. You MUST have a pass from your teacher! The nurse will not issue tardy passes.
