Memorial Medical Center has a Teen Volunteer Program June 18-August 10. The program is limited to 20 students, juniors and seniors. Application, 2 letters of recommendation, a health questionnaire and brief essay are due before April 27. Interviews will be May 29- June 5. Mandatory Orientation is June 14 if you are selected. Applications are available from Mrs. Povse or Mr. Crum.

Tryouts for the 2012-2013 SHS Poms will be held at Springfield High School the week of April 23rd - 27th. Clinics will begin around 4:00 p.m. and will dismiss at 6:00 p.m. Clinics are closed to spectators. Tryouts will be judged on Friday, April 27th. More specific details will be discussed on April 23rd with the team candidates. Application packets are now available on the Springfield High School website or in the SHS main office. Attention Seniors - Signed Permission Forms & $30 are due TODAY, Thursday April 12, for the Senior Trip to see the 7 & Senators singing the 7th inning stretch at the Cub/Cardinal game in St. Louis on May 15. The first 160 senior students who complete the following requirements will be allowed to attend the game. Requirements are: *Return completed permission form TODAY, *Pay $30 for bus and ticket to the game, *Must have no more than 4 unexcused absences for the 2nd semester, no more than 4 referrals for the 2nd semester and no suspensions for the school year. Seniors can pick up applications and pay for their tickets during both lunch shifts on Today in the Commons.

All NHS members are to have their finished service hours and projects turned in to Ms. Hubbard or Ms. Elmore by Friday April 13, UNLESS you have received PRIOR permission to turn in it later.
