Attention Juniors and Seniors! Homecoming court elections will be held Today in the commons at lunch! Seniors may vote for 8 guys and 8 girls and Juniors may vote for 2 guys and 2 girls. Sophomores and Freshmen will be allowed to vote in a later election fro King and Queen only!
Any Sophomore or Junior interested in taking the PSAT need to come to the Guidance Office and sign up. The test will be given Wednesday, October 17th during periods 1-3. The deadline for registering in September 21st. There is a $17 fee (cash or check payable to Springfield High School).
Spanish Club applications are now available from the Spanish teachers. Get one and turn it in by Wednesday, September 12th. Then join us for tacos in the Commons after school September 19th.

FREE T-SHIRTS FOR BLOOD DONORS!! Staff & Students 16 or older can donate blood to the Central Illinois Community Blood Center on Tue., Sep. 25, from 8:30am-2:30pm. Students aged 16 must have a signed parental consent form. You must sign up during lunch, before school, or after school in the Guidance Office by 3:30 pm on Monday, Sep. 24. Teachers & Staff do not need to sign up, you can report to the auditorium at your convenience. Please donate. Mrs. Fisher, in the Main Office, is LIVING Proof that blood donations SAVE LIVES! Any student interested in being a member of this year’s Scholastic Bowl team should attend a meeting after school on Friday, September 14th in room 230. The meeting should take approximately 30 minutes. If you cannot attend the meeting please see Mr. Adkins sometime next week to get information.

The Senator Volleyball team defeated Bloomington at home last night in 2 games. Meghan Fetter served up 8 points and 4 aces. Courtney Pence led all hitters with 10 and Sarah Sepanski added 7 service points and 3 aces. Mady McCarty had a game-high 22 assists. The girls play in a tournament in Lincoln tonight and tomorrow. Come support the team.
The Girls Golf team lost to Rochester while defeating both Plains and Williamsville. Alax Floyd shot a 44. Kristin Cullen who eagled the par 5 4th carded a 46. Alex Guerrero added a 55 and Morgan Throop finished with a 57.
