Good morning Springfield High! Today is Thursday, January 10, 2013 where successful Senators are respectful of self, others, and property! Thank you for Being A Senator!

A representative from the Army will be in the Commons today during both lunch shifts.

Juniors and Seniors: Permission slips for the next college bus trip, Eastern Illinois University, January 31st, are now available in the Guidance Office or on Mrs. Povse's door. Permission slips are due Jan. 17th.

Juniors and Seniors: Tonight is your chance to win a $50 gas card AND hear Ryan Gelber, Maddie Funderburg, Abhinav Brahmamdam, Rhoda Warner and Olivia Rosen from the class of 2012 and Spencer Chipman, Bennett Stephens and Seena Tabibi from the class of 2011 tell you what's it's really like going away to college. 6:30 tonight in the Commons. You could leave with lots of college information as well as a $50 gas card.

Attention German Club! Please pick up your German Club T-Shirt after school any day of the week. Don’t forget to bring $4, thank you!

There is a mandatory SITE Club meeting Today after school in Ms. Fox's room to discuss the kick-off to this year's robotics season.

Attention Spanish Club members: Come to FREE bowling after school this Friday at Strike N' Spare West. Free bowling, free shoes, free food!! Get a permission slip from a Spanish teacher today and return it by 3:30 Today!

Class of 2016 Apparel orders should be in sometime in the next two weeks, listen to announcements for when you can pick up your orders from Mr. Kramer. Any questions talk to him.

Attention: All Graduates who have had their Senior portrait taken at Grussenmeyer/Class Acts! Check the poster board outside the Main Office. If you had your photo taken BUT it is NOT on the poster board, please call the number on it by January 21!

Any PARENT of choir students—especially if your child is planning on going on the NEW YORK trip—is invited and encouraged to attend the monthly Noteables Meeting, tonight at 6:00pm in the band room.

There will be a mandatory meeting for all boys interested in competing for the Boys track team Friday after school at 3:30 in the commons. Please plan on attending. If you are in a winter sport, and cannot make the meeting, please inform Coach Cotner of your intentions to come out once your winter sport concludes. Thank you.

There will be a Best Buddies meeting in the Commons on Friday, Jan. 11 from 3:17- 4:00. Please come for games and activities. If you have any questions, please see Miss Maloney in Room 124.

Remember, Thursday is SHLotto Redemption day. So get out the cards and redeem them in the commons.

Be A Senator has 2 prime parking spots available for 3rd quarter! You may buy a ticket for a chance to win one of the spots during both A lunch and B lunch from Mrs. Yoggerst or Ms. Greco in the commons on Thursday and Friday. Tickets are 50 cents. There is no limit on the number of tickets you may buy. Names will be drawn on Friday and winners will be notified. If you have any SHLotto cards that have not been redeemed, you may enter those into the drawing as well. We will have a drawing again for 4th quarter at the end of 3rd quarter. Winners will need to provide current driver's license, valid insurance card, and make/model/license plate information to Mrs. Fisher in the main office.

Tickets for Boys City Basketball Tourney go on sale Tuesday in the Main office. Advance Tickets are $5. Door Tickets are $6.

Freshmen Football players! Numbers are in, stop by the Main office and pick your set up.
