Seniors: As you receive your financial aid packages with scholarships please let Mrs. Povse know of your awards so your information can be included on the scholarship charts. PLEASE DO THIS BEFORE MAY 1.
SENIORS: Remember to notify colleges that you are NOT accepting an offer of enrollment. The guidance office is receiving inquiries from various schools. If you know you are not going to a school where you have been accepted, e-mail the admissions office and let them know.
The City of Springfield in conjunction with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers will be accepting applications for apprenticeship April 29 through May 10. Stop by the Guidance office for an application.
Any student wishing to apply for "First Day Fund" school supplies for next school year needs to fill out the blue form and return it to the Guidance Office by April 30th. Extra forms are available in the Guidance Office.
Girls 16 and older can compete for the Sangamon County Fair Queen pageant. An informational meeting will be held Sunday, May 5th at 2:00p.m. at the Sangamon County Fairgrounds Timberlodge. For more information check the website: www.sangcofair.com

Senior NHS members: Golden Laurel Tickets are available in the main office for $12 a piece. Please purchase soon if your parents are attending.
Parents of choir students, the last Noteables Parent board meeting for the year will be next Thursday May 1 at 6pm in the Choir room. We will be addressing the Spring Concert, Senior Night and many other end of the year issues. Please join us for a lot of important information!

Prom tickets will go on sale Today during both lunch shifts in the commons. They will be sold for the next two weeks. Prices are $35 for a couples ticket and $25 for a single’s ticket.
The Boys track and field team placed 10th out of 18 teams at the Prospect Invite Friday night. Top placers for SHS were: James Torgerson 2nd in the shot put, and Malik Harrison 2nd in the 400. The boys next compete at the City meet on Tuesday. Field events begin at 4:30, and running events begin at 5:15. Come out and support the Boys track team at Memorial Stadium!
