Good morning Springfield High! Today is Tuesday, May 7, 2013 where successful Senators are focused, alert, on task, and engaged in the classroom. Thank you for Being A Senator!

SENIORS: IF YOU DID NOT MAKE A POST SECONDARY FLAG FOR THE MAPS IN THE COMMONS, PLEASE DO SO. ALSO, PLEASE TURN IN YOU POST SECONDARY SURVEY TO MRS. POVSE ASAP. IF YOU DID NOT GET ONE, PICK IT UP IN GUIDANCE.

JUNIORS AND SENIORS: PLEASE RETURN ANY BOOKS YOU HAVE BORROWED FROM MRS. POVSE SO THAT OTHERS MAY USE THEM.

Senior NHS members: Golden Laurel Tickets are available in the main office for $12 a piece. Please purchase soon if your parents are attending.

Seniors: Caps & Gowns that have been paid for are in the Guidance Office.

Prom tickets are on sale again Today during both lunch shifts in the commons. They will be sold until Friday. Prices are $35 for a couples ticket and $25 for a single’s ticket.

Springfield High's award winning show choir will be having auditions for the 2013-14 school year on May 14 and 15 at 5:30 PM in the choir room. You only have to attend one of the audition days. . We are looking for energetic singers and dancers to represent the very best of SHS. Audition packets will be available in the choir room by the end of the week so please see Ms. Elmore or Mr. Kaplan to get one.

Class of 2016 we need volunteers to help with coat check for prom. We need people to sign up for 30-60 minute shifts from 7:00-11:30pm May 11. If you would like to help out see Mr. Kramer in room 326.

Hey Students! Want to be part of creating SHS history? If so, apply to be a part of the Capitolline team. Applications are in room 370. Also selling last years books in the commons for $20 until May 9th.

Attention Class of 2014! Want to create the cover and theme for the yearbook NEXT year? Draw up your most creative idea and take it to room 370 by May 25th. There will be a vote on your ideas, and the best idea/drawing will be chosen. Winner will get their idea as the yearbook theme, but also a special feature in yearbook. Get creating!

All students: it's nearing the end of the school year and the seniors are about to leave. Take the opportunity while you can to kiss a senior goodbye!! All next week you can send a note and kisses to seniors for only $1! These will be delivered to the seniors the week before school is out. Kiss your favorite seniors goodbye before it's too late!

The IN Session showchoir would like to invite you, your friends and family to Cherry Berry on tonight from 4-9pm. Come in and enjoy some yummy frozen yogurt and support your SHS showchoir. A % of each sale will go towards the Springfield high school IN Session showchoir.

Students interested in running for next year’s Student Council & Class officers, you must attend one of the brief mandatory meetings on May 9 before school, during A or B lunch, and after school in hallway outside the auditorium. Packets will be due May 15 by 3:30 and speeches will be on Monday, May 20th.

Attention Students who have not taken Behind the Wheel and will be 16 before December 1st, you may sign up for driving during the summer. Please stop by Ms Dvorak’s room 128 ASAP. There is a limited number of spots.

Greetings NHS seniors. Your final meeting is tomorrow, May 8, either during lunch or after school in room 360. You will be receiving information regarding Golden Laurels.

Attention German Club! If you are interested in playing paintball against Lanphier's German Club, please come to the meeting in room 250 after school tomorrow, May 8 for important information. Hope to see you there.

Attention current German Club members (no seniors)! If you would like to be a German Club officer next year, please see a German teacher to pick up an officer application form. The completed applications are due in room 250 at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, May 10.
