FOREIGNER IS COMING TO TOWN!!!! WNNS is having a contest where one central Illinois high school choir has the chance to sing onstage with the legendary rock band Foreigner, November 15th at Sangamon Auditorium. Our very own 7 & Senators are representing Springfield High School’s choir department and competing for this once in a lifetime opportunity. How can you help? All you have to do is go to the www.wnns.com homepage and vote for the 7 & Senators. You can also check out their video of the choir singing their own rendition of the Foreigner classic “I’ve Been Waiting for a Girl Like You.” Voting started yesterday and ends Friday, the 25th, at midnight. Not only would winning bring a grand opportunity for these kids, but a $500 donation would be presented to the school’s choir department, which would be greatly appreciated. Spread the word and get those votes!! Thanks for your support!!!
Attention girl basketball players not involved in a fall sport: there will be an informational meeting regarding tryouts on Monday Oct. 28th after school in room #264. Any questions, see Coach Scheffler.
Congratulations to Springfield High’s Scholastic Bowl team on being ranked in the top 50 in the Nation! WOW!
