Reminder that Eastern Illinois University will be doing live admissions on Nov. 26. Get a paper application, fill it out and return it to Mrs. Povse. She will then set up an appointment with the admissions representative for you.

JUNIORS AND UNDECIDED SENIORS: Many state universities will be holding OPEN HOUSES on the Veterans' Day weekend. Check the lists outside Mrs. Povse's office for dates. Remember to register online if you plan to attend.

It. Is. On. ... SHS Dodgeball Tournament! Who will win the trophies, cash and bragging rights? Start forming your team of 6-8 now for the Wednesday, November 13th Tourney in the gym at 7pm. Turn your team registration form in to the school office, with $30 and signed waivers for anyone under 18. Forms and waivers are attached on the SHS website, and are also in the school office. Registration will also be held next week in the Commons. Sign up in advance and save money! May the best team win!

Class of 2017! It’s that time of year to think of fun T-Shirt designs! If you’re interested submit a drawing to Room 130. Deadline is November 12th, 2013. Winner of the contest will receive a FREE t-shirt and bragging rights. So make it good.

This Friday “The Foreigner” opens at 7:30 in the auditorium and is being directed by SHS senior Austin Vincent with Janna Schorfheide, assistant director and Brad Schoppenhorst, lighting designer. The show, known for its humor, is sure to have some side-splitting moments. Saturday’s performance is at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday’s is at 2 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens can be purchased by calling 525-3100 or at the door. All seating is general admission. A bonus for the Friday night crowd, the unveiling for the Spring Musical will be announced by its director, Craig Williams.

ATTENTION ALL HOLIDAY SHOPPERS: Mark your calendars NOW for the 3rd annual SHS Booster Club Holiday Spirit Wear Sale! It will be on Saturday, December 7th from 9:00 to noon in the SHS annex. Come early for some great bargains on hoodies, T-shirts and more! Free gift wrapping and treats will be available too! See you there....

Seniors: Meetings will be held on Tuesday, November 12 for the application process for Chase Bank Susan Cook $10,000.00 scholarship. There will be meetings at 8:15, during both lunch shifts, and at 3:20 in the auditorium. You must attend one of these meeting to receive your packet. Any questions please see Ms. Maloney in room 124 before Tuesday.

Seniors! There are more than 100 Seniors needing their senior portrait for the yearbook. Tomorrow, Friday, November 8th you can drop by Class Act Photography located at 484 South Durkin Drive with your $15 sitting fee anytime from 10 AM - 3 PM.
