Seniors who have met with Mr. Barnes regarding Early Graduation - Please stop by the Guidance office and set up a time to meet with Mr. Barnes to make sure you are on track to graduate early.
Seniors who still need to get their senior picture taken to BE included in this year's yearbook - This week after school until 5 PM Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday you can walk-in into Class Act photography at 484 South Durkin Drive, pay your $15 sitting fee and get your picture taken. Any questions, call 787-4947.
Seniors - To be included in this year's yearbook, senior baby pictures and the $10 fee must be turned in to Mrs. Eslahi by December 19th.
A reminder that after school tutoring is available in the cafeteria Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30-4:30

December 19 periods 1 and 4
Seniors interested in exempting up to 3 of their first semester finals should report to the guidance office and pick up a form. This form must be signed by each teacher and a parent or guardian, and returned to the Guidance Office no later than Thursday, December 11th by 4:00 pm. No Exceptions. Please remember that just getting the form completed, and turning it in does not guarantee that you will be able to exempt the final. You will be notified of your final exemption status either way, by Tuesday, December 16th.
SENIORS: The Lincoln Land Community College Foundation Scholarship packet is now available on the SHS Scholarship Database. Applications for the LLCC Honors Program are within the scholarship packet. All materials are due March 2, 2015. Mrs. Povse has hard copies of the recommendation forms if you need them.
Attention all holiday shoppers!! SHS Booster club will be holding its 4th annual Holiday Spirit Wear sale on Saturday, December 13th from 9:00- noon in the SHS annex. Come early for some great sale items and receive 10% off your total of $50 or more. We will even have some new merchandise never offered before! Attention all World Travelers!! It's not too late to sign up for this summer's European Vacation to Germany, Switzerland, and Italy. We will be taking a ten day trip on an excursion of a lifetime. This trip is scheduled from June 9th thru June 18th of this summer (2015). You will want to act fast and see Mr. Telger in room 312 so you can set up your own payment plan and get your name on the list before it is too late. Wrestling t-shirts are now available. Short sleeve is $10 and long sleeve is $15. Anyone wanting to view these shirts can see them in the main office or see Coach Berger.
T-shirt sales for city tournament t-shirts continue through Wednesday, Dec. 17. They will be on sale in the Commons during both lunch shifts. They are the best ever so don't miss out on the chance to get your shirts!! No extra shirts are ordered and all orders must be paid for in advance. Any questions, please see Miss Maloney in Room 124.
Attention students & teachers: The SHS Do Something Club is hosting a Toy Drive for needy kids. SHS families in need will get first dibs at picking a toy, and remaining toys will be donated to Contact Ministries. No need to wrap the gift. Just choose & label the gift as boy or girl, and the age from zero to 15 years old. No Weapons or Violent Toys Accepted. Deadline to drop off a gift in the Main Office & Guidance Office is Friday December 19th. Any questions see Dominic Valenti.
HO HO HO! Yearbook will be having a holiday bake sale December 10th during both lunch shifts in the commons. Items will be for sale for $1 each.
The Superintendent's Roundtable will meet this Wednesday, December 10 from 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Grant Middle School library. Students with an interest in leadership and student matters are encouraged to attend.
The SHS Scholastic Bowl team saw their 51 match conference win streak come to an end on Saturday at the hands of rival Glenwood, but responded by winning six more matches to earn a share of the conference title. The team finished the conference season 17 and 1. This is the 5th straight conference title for SHS. Way to go Senators.
The Varsity Speech & Acting Team competed in the Neuqua Valley Tournament against 22 schools and over 900 competitors this Saturday. Congratulations team on a difficult tournament. There is a team meeting for the ENTIRE team directly after school in Ms. Negele's room. It's important you all be there.
On Saturday, the Lady Senator basketball team beat Decatur MacArthur 82 to 31. SHS was led in scoring by Ellie Brandt with a career-high 19 points. Kierra Weir, Brooklyn Crum, and Kyra Webster also scored in double figures. Next up for SHS is a game at Southeast on Thursday.
