Good morning Springfield High! Today is Wednesday, September 16, 2015 where successful Senators follow the classroom and school wide expectations and allow for learning all throughout the building. Thank you for Being A Senator!

Attention: all Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors This is a brand new opportunity, there are parking spots available near SHS in the lot between SHS and the New Street Field. If you were not able to get a parking spot at SHS and would like park near SHS, please sign up in the main office for information regarding a private parking lot only for SHS students.
This is open to ALL SHS students with a valid driver's license and proof of insurance. We only have a few left so sign up quick.

Attention all theater lovers! Our 2015 Fall Play, directed by Kate Moranski will be "A Streetcar Named Desire," and auditions will be today, September 15th , tomorrow, September 16th, and next Tuesday and Wednesday. Auditions will be held directly after school in the auditorium. All those interested in auditioning should prepare a 1minute monologue, showcasing their talents. Contact Kate Moranski for any questions. We hope to see you there!

Seniors, Call Grussenmeyer Photography at 787-6688 to schedule your portrait for the yearbook, we would like to have all portraits done by Winter Break. Contact Mrs. Eslahi, room 254, if you have other questions.

There is Pipeline meeting today, Wednesday, 9/16, 5 p.m., in the South Auditorium of the SIU School of Medicine, 801 North Rutledge Street. The meeting is open to all and is set up specifically for potential students and their parents. It is a totally optional meeting, but would give you an opportunity to learn a bit more about the P4 program and to have your questions answered, especially about the application and selection process.

HEY SENATORS!! The Class of 2018 is starting their first fundraiser TODAY! We will be selling custom, must have, spirit jerseys and pocketed t-shirts for the entire student body and staff. Pick up your order form in guidance, main office or room 363. See the samples on display in the glass showcase located outside the auditorium. Get the order forms while they last, they will sell out fast.

Don't forget to order your delicious Avanti's Gondolas and bread. Tomorrow is last day to order. Buy yours from a German student, German Club student or Herr Koeppel. Gondolas are $7 and loaves of bread are $3. Delivery is Thursday, September 24, during both lunch hours and til 4 p.m. in the Commons. There will be a limited number of Gondolas and bread to purchase on day of delivery.

The boys golf team is 4 shots down after the first day of the city tournament, played last night at Lincoln Greens. Bailey Gill led the way for the Senators, firing a 3 over par 39. Jake Scott carded a 41 and Bryce Ribelin a 43, with freshman Jack Zerfas chipping in with a 44. Today's second round will be at the Rail, starting at 3:00.

Seniors interested in MURRAY STATE UNIVERSITY OR YALE SHOULD SEE MR. KYES FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT UPCOMING EVENTS SCHEDULED AT THESE UNIVERSITIES.

Seniors: If you are planning to graduate at the end of 1st semester, you must have a parent call Mr. Williams to arrange a meeting to sign an Early Graduation Contract.
Seniors: If you need extra credits to make up for failed classes, get a pass to see Mr. Williams about attending Lawrence Education Center Credit Recovery Classes.
