ood morning Springfield High! Today is Thursday, September 17, 2015 where successful Senators follow the classroom and school wide expectations and allow for learning all throughout the building. Thank you for Being A Senator!

Attention: all Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors - There are still a few parking spots left so hurry and sign up in the main office to reserve your spot and remember this is open to ALL SHS students with a valid driver's license and proof of insurance. We only have a few left so sign up quick.

The boys golf team is 6 shots down heading into today's final round at Bunn. Bailey Gill shot a 1 under par 35, and freshman Adler Boatman came in with a career best 40. Jake Scott and Bryce Ribelin both carded 43's.

Congratulations to the SHS Girls Swimming and Diving Team for winning their meet yesterday against Sacred Heart-Griffin and O'Fallon Township. The team has an undefeated record of 3-0. Great job girls.

Attention all theater lovers! Our 2015 Fall Play, directed by Kate Moranski will be "A Streetcar Named Desire," and auditions will be today, September 15th , tomorrow, September 16th, and next Tuesday and Wednesday. Auditions will be held directly after school in the auditorium. All those interested in auditioning should prepare a 1minute monologue, showcasing their talents. Contact Kate Moranski for any questions. We hope to see you there!

Juniors and Seniors who are interested in taking the October 24th ACT- the deadline is THIS FRIDAY- SEPTEMBER 18. DO NOT FORGET TO REGISTER online at www.actstudent.org!! SEE MR. KYES IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS!

If you are a junior or senior interested in ACT Prep classes offered at LLCC, please see Mr. Kyes in room 153A for more information. The Fall classes are beginning soon!

Seniors, Call Grussenmeyer Photography at 787-6688 to schedule your portrait for the yearbook, we would like to have all portraits done by Winter Break. Contact Mrs. Eslahi, room 254, if you have other questions.

HEY SENATORS!! The Class of 2018 is starting their first fundraiser TODAY! We will be selling custom, must have, spirit jerseys and pocketed t-shirts for the entire student body and staff. Pick up your order form in guidance, main office or room 363. See the samples on display in the glass showcase located outside the auditorium. Get the order forms while they last, they will sell out fast.

Don't forget to order your delicious Avanti's Gondolas and bread. Tomorrow is last day to order. Buy yours from a German student, German Club student or Herr Koeppel. Gondolas are $7 and loaves of bread are $3. Delivery is Thursday, September 24, during both lunch hours and til 4 p.m. in the Commons. There will be a limited number of Gondolas and bread to purchase on day of delivery.

The boys golf team is 4 shots down after the first day of the city tournament, played last night at Lincoln Greens. Bailey Gill led the way for the Senators, firing a 3 over par 39. Jake Scott carded a 41 and Bryce Ribelin a 43, with freshman Jack Zerfas chipping in with a 44. Today's second round will be at the Rail, starting at 3:00.

Seniors interested in MURRAY STATE UNIVERSITY OR YALE SHOULD SEE MR. KYES FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT UPCOMING EVENTS SCHEDULED AT THESE UNIVERSITIES.

Seniors: If you are planning to graduate at the end of 1st semester, you must have a parent call Mr. Williams to arrange a meeting to sign an Early Graduation Contract.
Seniors: If you need extra credits to make up for failed classes, get a pass to see Mr. Williams about attending Lawrence Education Center Credit Recovery Classes.

Last call for High Pride sign-ups. Please get your money to Coach Reed, in room 228 by the end of the week.

There will be an open gym for all boys not participating in a fall sport, who are interested in basketball, on Saturday morning at 9am. If you have any questions please see Coach Reed.
