Have you ever wanted to throw a pie in the face of one of our beloved administrators like Principal Grossen, Mr. Williams, or Officer Rummans? Well now is your chance! The SHS Me to We club will be taking donations to be entered into a drawing to throw a pie in an administrators' face during the homecoming pep assembly. Tickets will be sold in the commons during both lunch shifts and during the home football games. All proceeds will go to our future school in Ghana. Any questions please contact Grace Thompson.

The first meeting of the YEP club is October 6 from 3:45-5:00 at Peerless Cleaners on South Grand Ave. YEP stands for "young entrepreneurial professionals” and is open to all high school students in Sangamon County who are interested in learning more about entrepreneurship. Information sheets are available in the guidance office.
Tutoring is available is now available on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 7:45 to 8:15 am before school in Mr. Reed’s class, Room 228; and from 3:30-4:30 pm in the cafeteria. Please make sure to sign-in upon arrival
Juniors and seniors interested attending the Capital Area Education/Career Fair at the Orr Building on the IL State Fair Grounds on Wednesday, Oct. 7 should stop by the Guidance office or Mr. Kyes' office for a permission slip prior to the deadline, and check in with their assistant principal at the Orr Building. Signed permission slips are due by MONDAY OCTOBER 5TH AT 3:30 PM, NO EXCEPTIONS. Students will be responsible for making up any work missed due to this absence.

Avanti's Gondolas and bread will be here today, Thursday, September 24. Remember to redeem your ticket for a delicious Gondola or loaf of bread. Available for pick up during both lunch shifts and until 4 pm in the Commons. There will be a limited number of Gondolas $7 and bread $3 to purchase.

The game we have all been waiting for… The SHS Girls Volleyball team will play SHG in the city Tournament tonight!! The game starts at 7:00pm at Southeast High School. Everyone please come out and support the team. We look forward to seeing you there.

The boys golf team won their triangular match last night at Lincoln Greens, beating Glenwood by 2 and Taylorville by 21. Bailey Gill was medalist, firing a 1 under par 35. Luke Ketchum shot a 43, and Jason Pappas and Adler Boatman both carded 44's.
