November 25, 2015

Good morning Springfield High! Today is Wednesday, November 25, 2015 where successful Senators follow the classroom and school wide expectations and allow for learning all throughout the building. Thank you for Being A Senator!

"Students and Teachers…do you know someone who you think deserves a Be A Senator Shout-out for being RESPECTFUL, being RESPONSIBLE, SHOWING GOOD CITIZENSHIP, being CARING, showing SELF-DISCIPLINE, being COOPERATIVE, demonstrating PERSEVERANCE, or being COURAGEOUS? Fill out a nomination form for a Be A Senator Shout-out. Nominations can be found in all offices and on the Be a Senator table in front of the Cafeteria.
Nominations can be turned in to the Be A Senator box on the table or to Ms Hurley in the Guidance office. If you have questions, see Mrs Mitchell or Ms Greco."

Any student interested in the Senate Page Program must complete an application. You can pick up an application from Mrs. Devlin or in the Guidance office. Applications are due to Mrs. Devlin by December 3.

Attention SHS! German Club is selling beautiful German Advent Calendars filled with fine German chocolate. Please talk to a German student or come to room 250 if you would like to purchase them. They are $4 each. But hurry, there is only a limited number available.

There will also be a very short football meeting today after school in the cafeteria right before Thanksgiving break. All players that plan on going out next year MUST attend the meeting or if you are unable to attend, stop by room 124 during lunch today and sign in and pick up packet.

Don’t forget, CINNABONS arrive today. For those who ordered, pick them up in the Commons right after school tomorrow.

All boys not involved in a winter sport that are interested in competing on the boys track and field team in the spring need to see coach Cotner this week to pick up an information form regarding winter workouts. Workouts will begin on Monday November 30th.

For those students who receive bus tickets, you can pick them up in room 169, before school, after school, or during your lunch hour only. See Ms. Womack in Room 169 with any questions.

Tomorrow the Springfield High Marching Senators are one of the featured groups in the Thanksgiving Parade of Bands at Disney World. You may view the live webcast at 10:00 Thursday morning. See Mrs. Goldberg's website for details.

Wrestling team opens tonight at Jerseyville. Good luck to our Springfield Senator Wrestling team!!
