Good morning Springfield High! Today is Wednesday, December 2, 2015 where successful Senators follow the classroom and school wide expectations and allow for learning all throughout the building. Thank you for Being A Senator!

Disney's Beauty and the Beast auditions are less than a week away, and the online sign-ups are coming in! This year, you must sign up online by completing the online audition form. All audition information can be found by going to shsmusical.wordpress.com. Still need music? Please head to the SHS Choir Room at the end of the day to pick up music. We are looking forward to seeing all of you at auditions on Monday, December 7th and Tuesday, December 8th.


Attention seniors!! LAST CHANCE to order cap and gowns will be Friday December 11th in the morning from 7:30-8:20 in the commons. THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE!! That’s Josten’s, December 11th, in the commons before school!

All members of the boys soccer team should see Mr. Phillips this week. The Varsity soccer team must turn in their uniforms this week or fines will be written. All girls interested in playing soccer an informational meeting will be held Thursday after school in room 404.

Achtung German Club! We will be having a German Club meeting on Today, December 1 right after school in the Commons to discuss our German Club Christmas Party, which will take place this Saturday evening, December 5. If you are planning to come to the party, please consider this meeting mandatory.

Football players that finished the season in good standing can go to Coach Gully's room and pick up their awards night invitations. Awards night is this Sunday at 6pm in the Commons. It is invite only and coach Gully needs a head count by tomorrow to order food. Coach Gully's room is 124 and players can stop by during lunch time, or before or after school.

Seniors- The Illinois Student Assistance Commission will be presenting information about financial aid on Dec. 10 in the commons from 6:00-7:00 PM. Please see Mr. Kyes for more information.

Attention: Seniors, you can write your farewells and senior quotes and they will be collected on the 9th, 10th, and 11th. Also, senior baby pictures are due the 18th. And those seniors who are taking their pictures with Grussenmeyer are due the 18th as well. Baby pictures are $10 and Grussenmeyer senior pictures are $18.

Senate Page applications are due to Mrs. Devlin by Dec. 3. Please put completed applications in her mailbox in the main office or see her with questions in room 110 or 121.

Hey hey hey JSA! Meeting today after school in lightfoots room (room 330). Hope to see you there.

For those students who receive bus tickets, you can pick them up in room 169, before school, after school, or during your lunch hour only. See Ms. Womack in Room 169 with any questions.

Be A Senator will be selling hot, delicious slices of Papa John’s Pizza for $2 per slice on Thursday during both lunch shifts in the commons. Pizza, Pizza, Pizza, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday!

There will be IS practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays for Scholastic Bowl for both JV and Varsity 3:30-5:00 this week and next. There will be no JV practice the week of the 14th, but there will be varsity practice.
