Requirements for Exam Exemption: 1. Attendance: No Unexcused absences (for that period) No more than 4 Excused absences (for that period) 2. Behavior: No Suspensions 3. Grades: Must have a B or Better for both quarters. If there is a split, and you choose to exempt, the lower grade becomes the semester grade.

Congratulations to the SHS Scholastic Bowl team. They traveled to Winetka, IL on December 18 for the New Trier Tournament. Sam Wheelhouse led the team scoring 335 points, Kyle Britton scored 310 points, Geoffrey Datz scored 235 points, Julia Gorden scored 180 points, Sam Irwin 145 points, and Ben Norris scored 105 points. The SHS team won 1st place in the Consolation Bracket, losing only twice all day.
The Scarlet Line Dance Team competed at the IDTA Regional Competition at Belleville East High School, Saturday, January 2, 2016. The Scarlet Line placed 2nd in the Hip Hop AA division and qualified their dance for State Competition. They also placed 2nd in Pom Dance AA division. Senior Maria Wells placed 1st in the Soloist Division. Team members participating: Loretta Ingebrigtsen, Maria Wells, Kari Wilhelm, T'hara Galbreth, Samantha Schrage, Tiesha Blocker, Ariana Naudain, Molly Stern, Elizabeth Gilmore, Hannah Freehill, Grace Bibb, Shelby Sanderson and Natalie Enlow. The Scarlet Line will compete at Edwardsville High School on Saturday, January 9th. Congratulations Scarlet Line!
