Seniors: Over the Moon Productions is offering a $500 scholarship to seniors who intend to major or minor in an aspect of theater arts. See Mr. Lawson or Mrs. Povse for the application. Deadline is April 30.

Attention Senators! You may order your 2010 Be A Senator shirt designed by sophomore Riley Bastin. Stop by the BAS store located outside of room 106 to order yours. Shirts are $10 and must be paid for at the time the order is taken.

Seniors: Lincoln Land Community College is offering an online College Success Skills course this summer. Some of the skills taught will be successful test-taking strategies, effective textbook reading, note taking skills, time management, critical thinking strategies and many more.

Permission forms for anyone bringing a guest to Prom who is not a Springfield High student, are now available in the Main office. Guests must be at least in ninth grade, and not older than 19.
Summer School applications have arrived, and they can be picked up in the Guidance Office or Main Office.

The Prairie State Exam will be given to all Juniors on Wednesday, April 27, in the afternoon and during the morning of April 28 & 29. Juniors are to bring two pencils and a calculator to their testing rooms.

Georgia Pillow Rountree Scholarship awarded to a student who will attend a historically black college or university;
Alma Taylor Jones Scholarship is awarded to a student who is majoring in education and plans to teach as a career;
General Scholarship-awarded to student(s) based on the discretion of the scholarship committee and based on availability of overall scholarship funds. Essay and 2 letters of recommendation. Deadline is May 10.

The Lady Senators Track Team won a quadrangular meet over Chatham, Lincoln, and Taylorville last night. First place finishes were recorded by Lexi Swope in the 100, Tiana Wade in the 200, Christina Kropid in the 800, Leora Reyhan in the 3200, Laurel Neposchlan in the Pole Vault and 4 x 100 of Swope, Brytani Cavil, Robyn Williams, and Mirian Agamah. Sarah Ward and Riley Jensen both had PR’s of 9’6” and 8’ in the pole vault.
