Seniors: Lincoln Land Community College is offering an online College Success Skills course this summer. Some of the skills taught will be successful test-taking strategies, effective textbook reading, note taking skills, time management, critical thinking strategies and many more.

Congratulations to the winners of the Book Fair drawing. Each winner will receive a $10 credit to spend at the fair. Winners are: Olivia Rosen, Ruth Chen, Moran Ceja, Maddie Guy, Kelly Samara, Susan Turner and Alexa Paige Clark. Winning teachers are: Ms. Barkmeier, Mrs. Leblang and Mrs. Koen.
The Prairie State Exam will be given to all Juniors on Wednesday, April 27, in the afternoon and during the morning of April 28 & 29. Juniors are to bring two pencils and a calculator to their testing rooms.
Seniors: The following scholarships are available from Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority
Georgia Pillow Rountree Scholarship awarded to a student who will attend a historically black college or university;
Alma Taylor Jones Scholarship is awarded to a student who is majoring in education and plans to teach as a career;
General Scholarship-awarded to student(s) based on the discretion of the scholarship committee and based on availability of overall scholarship funds. Essay and 2 letters of recommendation. Deadline is May 10.
