The Scarlet Line Dance Team will be holding tryouts for the 2010-2011 season starting today. The tryouts and clinics will be held in the Springfield High School gymnasium from 4:00-5:30pm today through Friday. Clinics will begin Monday afternoon with the distribution of a tryout packet. Formal auditions will be held on Friday afternoon. Clinics and tryouts are closed to parents and spectators. Questions may be directed to Coach Dobbins at shsScarletLine@gmail.com. Anyone interested in trying out for the 2010-2011 Cheerleading squads should pick up a tryout packet in the main office. Tryouts will be held April 19th-22nd. Any questions contact Coach Povse or Coach Johnson.
Fotografia Portrait Studio is looking for juniors interested in modeling for them. You can contact the studio at 483-7800. They are located at 7014 Kingsmill Court here in Springfield.

Seniors: Over the Moon Productions is offering a $500 scholarship to seniors who intend to major or minor in an aspect of theater arts. See Mr. Lawson or Mrs. Povse for the application. Deadline is April 30.
Next week, April 19 through April 22 the library will host a Book Fair. All proceeds will go to support classroom libraries. Stop by and check out the latest titles. See your English teacher to enter a raffle drawing for free books.
Come out to the mall by Ruby Tuesday this Saturday, April 17 between 2-5pm for the first ever Fresh 2 Def Health & Wellness Fair. Participate in a variety of health/wellness screenings, fitness demonstrations including boxing, salsa, karate, Chicago style stepping, hip hop dance & aerobics, and Zumba. As always free food and a ton of giveaways!
Nothing to do next Friday? Come to a concert! For a full list of band names or to buy tickets come to the commons at a lunch this week all proceeds benefit equality now.
Attention Senators! You may order your 2010 Be A Senator shirt designed by sophomore Riley Bastin. Stop by the BAS store located outside of room 106 to order yours. Shirts are $10 and must be paid for at the time the order is taken.
Any Scholastic Bowl team members who want to participate in the KMO next Wednesday need to see Mr. Adkins by Friday. If you do not you will be removed from the KMO list. Also be sure to sign up for the end of the year banquet.
