Students who want to take an AP test must bring a check for $86 and sign up in the Guidance Office for Monday, March 22 through Thursday, March 25.
The Delta Sigma Theta Sorority is offering scholarships of $500-$1000 to African American seniors who have at least a "C" average and have been accepted to a college or university. 2 letters of recommendation are required. Deadline is April 16. See Mr. Lawson or Mrs. Povse for an application.
Newspaper applications are available in Negele’s room, 362. If you want to be on The Senator paper staff, you MUST apply! Applications are due tomorrow.
The 3rd quarter acknowledgement is tomorrow. Students who had no referrals, no tardies and no unexcused absences will be eligible for an extended lunch. Qualified Students who have A lunch will be dismissed early from 3rd hour and qualified students who have B lunch will return to 5th hour late. March Madness games will be on the televisions and everyone will be given dessert. We will also be having random drawings for prizes.
Anyone interested in trying out for the 2010-2011 Cheerleading squads should pick up a tryout packet in the main office. Tryouts will be held April 19th-22nd. Any questions contact Coach Povse or Coach Johnson.
Please continue to donate through your class representatives carrying buckets at lunch to the St Jude Rally against childhood cancer. All donations will aid children who have cancer at St. Jude. Also please don’t forget that 25 name forms - legit addresses of 25 people outside of school – are due tomorrow. Please return them to Mr. Goff or his mailbox in the main office.
There will be Spirit Week next week in preparation for 2010 SHS Rally Against Childhood Cancer.
Monday will be College Basketball/College Day. Tuesday will be 1920’s Throwback day. Wednesday will be Nerd Day. Thursday will be Western Day. Friday will be Vacation Day.
There will be an important Rally Against Childhood Cancer meeting Friday regarding decorations for Spirit Week in Mr. Goff’s room.
Are you hungry for tacos? No need to run for the border. Power walk to the commons. The class of 2010 will be selling Taco Bell tacos today for $1. Remember tacos ,tacos, tacos, Today, Today, Today.
Attention Spanish Club Members: The annual Lots of Latas canned good drive to benefit the Salvation Army ends tomorrow. Bring your canned good to your Spanish teacher for a chance to win prizes. The class that donates the most cans wins a pizza party lunch.
Tomorrow, Best Friends is having a St. Patrick’s Day meeting afterschool in the commons. So come have fun and enjoy time with your Buddies this Friday. They look forward to seeing you there!
Swing into Spring is tomorrow night in the commons. Dance lessons start at 7 PM, the dance is from 7:30 -10 PM. Adults are $6 and Students are $4. Come on out and learn how to dance with the stars!
National Honor Society Candidates: There will be an informative meeting Friday before, and/or after school in Mrs. Ruedin's classroom to let students know what they need to do for Monday's Induction Ceremony.
