The second round of Lincoln Land Community College scholarship applications is available. If you are planning to attend LLCC you should apply for this scholarship. Deadline is May 3. Application is available from Mr. Lawson or Mrs. Povse.

Looking for service hours? Or maybe a way to help our your school? Student Council is holding the 33rd annual senior citizen dinner Wednesday, March 17 and we are in need of volunteers. Sign up in the main office or sign-up sheets in the hallways. Don’t miss out on a perfect opportunity to get service hours!

Any Boys Basketball player should stop by Coach Reed’s room to pick up information about the team banquet.

Newspaper applications are available in Negele’s room, 362. If you want to be on The Senator paper staff, you MUST apply! Applications are due Friday, March 19th.

The 3rd quarter acknowledgement is Friday, March 19th. Students who had no referrals, no tardies and no unexcused absences will be eligible for an extended lunch. Qualified Students who have A lunch will be dismissed early from 3rd hour and qualified students who have B lunch will return to 5th hour late. March Madness games will be on the televisions and everyone will be given dessert. We will also be having random drawings for prizes.

Anyone interested in trying out for the 2010-2011 Cheerleading squads should pick up a tryout packet in the main office. Tryouts will be held April 19th-22nd. Any questions contact Coach Povse or Coach Johnson.

Congratulations to Scarlet Harmony for winning First place in the novice division at the Quincy Show Choir competition! They also received a "Gold award" based on total points earned. A huge thank you to Conor, Rhett, Joel, Robert, Callista, Carly, and the parents who helped!

Please continue to donate through your class representatives carrying buckets at lunch to the St Jude Rally against childhood cancer. All donations will aid children who have cancer at St. Jude. Also please don’t forget that 25 name forms - legit addresses of 25 people outside of school – are due by Friday. Please return them to Mr. Goff or his mailbox in the main office.

The Scholastic Bowl team will meet tomorrow night after school to discuss plans for the end of the year party. Anyone who would like to have input should plan to attend. The meeting will last less than 20 minutes.
