Attention seniors: If you are a former Camp Care-A-Lot camper please see Mrs. Povse in the Guidance office for information on a possible $2500 per semester scholarship.
Students who are going to Blackburn College on Tuesday with Mrs. Povse need to have their permission slips turned in by lunch time on Friday. There are additional seats available if there are students who still would like to go.
The Chamber of Commerce is offering a scholarship to Lincoln Land, Robert Morris, Benedictine University, or University of Illinois Springfield. See Mr. Lawson for details.
The Senior panoramic picture for seniors will be tomorrow rain or shine at 8:40 AM. Seniors are to report to first hour and wait to be called to the front lawn or the gym.
The yearbook staff is in need of candid pictures for the collage pages of the senior section. Please submit any candid pictures of you and your friends to Mrs. Devlin’s mailbox.
A representative from Notre Dame will be at St. Thomas More High School in Champaign on Tues., Oct 27 at 7:00.
There are some wonderful opportunities to volunteer and make your community a better place. Former Franklin Middle School students are especially encouraged to volunteer at your former alma mater Thursday October 29 and Friday October 30, again see the NHS board for contact info and details for the events.
Best Friends is meeting this Friday. Our Halloween party will have crafts, games, and of course lots of food! Please remember to bring your dues! We will be having tons of fun so come and see for yourself!
Singers, Dancers, Actors! It’s time for Springfield Idol! Please sign up in the choir room for an audition time. Auditions are October 27 & 28 after school. The contest will be held November 19th. There will be cash prizes.
Hungry for tacos? No need to run for the border. Just power walk to the commons. The class of 2010 will be selling delicious Taco Bell tacos for $1 today. Remember , tacos, tacos, tacos, Today, Today, Today!
Greater Springfield Area Chamber Workplace skills film project is having an open call for auditions Saturday, November 7th starting at 9 AM until noon at Capital Area Career Center. Actors wanted: 4 lead characters and several support actors are needed. Age of characters are high school seniors, acting experience preferred but not required, all participating actors and members of this project are volunteers and will be named in film credits. Upload a resume of acting experience and why you would like to participate in this film project, along with a personal photo to http://chamberjobvideo.ning.com/ or bring them to the audition. There will be a meeting for all current NHS members Today. If you missed the meeting at 7:50 AM and you must attend the meeting directly after school, in Mrs. Ruedin’s room. You should bring all of the hours you have completed for the semester with you. We will go over all requirements at the meeting. See you there.

Student Council representatives for the class of 2013 please meet in room 352 on Friday after school for about 15 minutes.
Attention girl basketball players not involved in a fall sport: there will be a short meeting this Friday right after school in the auditorium concerning tryouts. Any questions see Coach Scheffler.
Attention all students who sold Butter Braids. The Butter Braids will be delivered this coming Tuesday. You must pick them up after school in the commons. They come frozen and must remain frozen. So, if you have after school activities, you must make arrangements to have someone else pick them up AFTER SCHOOL ON TUESDAY!!! If you sold lots, you will need to have someone pick you up.
