Attention seniors: If you are a former Camp Care-A-Lot camper please see Mrs. Povse in the Guidance office for information on a possible $2500 per semester scholarship.
The annual Senior panoramic picture is on Friday, October 23 at 8:40 AM.
The first college bus trips have been scheduled. Blackburn College, Oct. 27 from 9:00-2:00 and Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, Nov. 5 from 7:00A.M.-5:30. Permission slips are available in the Guidance Office. Grades will be checked before you are allowed to go. These trips do not count against your attendance.
The yearbook staff is in need of senior baby pictures. Please submit your baby picture, with your name written on it, to Mrs. Devlin's mailbox in the main office by tomorrow.

For students who are interested in DePaul University-a representative will be at Sacred Heart Griffin High School from 6:30-8:30 tonight. A representative from Notre Dame will be at St. Thomas More High School in Champaign on Tues., Oct 27 at 7:00.
Voting is now open for all SHS students. Go to the school's home page to vote for your favorite Academy Logo. One logo will be chosen for each academy at the three high schools. You may only vote once. Voting is open through Wednesday.
Please check lost and found for clothing in 106 if you have lost anything. Mrs Kidd will taking things to Goodwill every Friday to help keep the office from smelling and looking cluttered.
There are some wonderful opportunities to volunteer and make your community a better place. Former Franklin Middle School students are especially encouraged to volunteer at your former alma mater Thursday October 29 and Friday October 30, again see the NHS board for contact info and details for the events.
Attention Spanish Club members. Our next meeting will be after school Wednesday, October 21 in the commons. Permission slips for the October 24th wiener roast are due by 3:30 on October 21st also. See a Spanish Club teacher today.
Math Club meeting Wednesday, October 21st in room 210, from 3:20 – 3:30 PM. Anyone interested in being in Math club should attend. If you can’t make it to the meeting, see Mrs. Pence by Wednesday.

There will be no Scholastic Bowl practice Tuesday. We will practice after school on Thursday this week. Remember to bring your questions to practice.
Hey hey JSA! If you want to attend Fall State, you must register online by October 20th. It only takes a few minutes and you don’t have to pay until November 3rd. Also we will be having a thought talk on healthcare this Wednesday. Don’t forget to register!
Best Friends is meeting this Friday. Our Halloween party will have crafts, games, and of course lots of food! Please remember to bring your dues! We will be having tons of fun so come and see for yourself!
The Cross Country team competed in the CS-8 conference meet on Saturday in Jacksonville. In the Girls open race; Giuliana Bailey was the top finisher in 2nd place. In the boys open race; Sam Cross was the top finisher in 3rd place. The Girls Varsity team placed 2nd, with Madie Alexander & Kirby Hale finishing 2nd & 3rd place.
