You need a pass to meet with representatives. Please get your pass from Mrs. Povse in the Guidance Office. This is a great opportunity to get information about the colleges in a small group setting where you can get your questions answered.
Fall Play auditions for ‘Flowers for Algernon’ directed by Conor O’Brien and Nick Throop, will be October 1 directly after school.
Today is the last day to get Homecoming t-shirts! Order them on your lunch shifts in the commons for only $15
Seniors, the class of Dub 10 is looking for volunteers to decorate its hallway this upcoming Monday after school. If you are interested start a convo with one of the class officers.
The senior panoramic picture has been rescheduled for Friday, Oct. 2 at 8:40 A.M.
Applications and informational packets are now available in the Guidance Office for the Youth Leadership Saturday Academy and the Illinois Department of Transportation Engineering Saturday Academy. All applications are due, to your guidance dean by Friday, October 9th! Don't miss out on this career exploration event!
This year’s Homecoming tickets will be on sale in the commons on both lunch shifts starting today through Spirit Week. Couples tickets are $15 and Single tickets are $10. You must present your SHS student ID in order to buy a ticket. Hurry and get them now, because all tickets will be $15 per person at the door. Don’t forget, homecoming is on Saturday October 10th, just a few weeks away!
It is time to sign up for the Read for the Lifetime program. All readers will want to know about this fun and rewarding program. See Mrs. Dahmane in the library for details. Deadline is Monday, October 19 to sign-up.
Hey Springfield High! Homecoming is less than 2 weeks away which means its almost time to pick your homecoming King and Queen. The entire school can vote on Thursday at lunch for whom they think deserves the crown.

We will have sausage, pepperoni, and cheese available. Students may buy a whole pizza for $15. Bring your money and support Be a Senator!
Junior and Senior Girls…..Powderpuff will be this Sunday. Anyone interested in playing should contact Coach Thompson or Coach Hughes. Any other question should be directed to Kimber Griffin.
There will be a homeroom today at the end of second hour to distribute picture packages. Picture retakes are Friday, Oct. 2 in the auditorium from 7:30-10:30 a.m. Time schedules as to when you should report to the auditorium are posted in classrooms. If you want your picture retaken you must bring your picture package to the auditorium and return them to the photographer prior to getting your picture taken. If you did not get your picture taken for an ID and/or want to order pictures you must report to the auditorium at your scheduled time to get your picture ID taken. Picture flyers are in the main office.
The girls golf team lost by 3 strokes to Rochester High School last night. Leading the way with medalist honors was Andrea Ribelin with a 42 followed by Becca Ramirez with a 46, Natalie Pryor and Rachel Scheffler finishing with 55s.
