Good morning Springfield High! Today is Thursday, April 21, 2016 where successful Senators follow the classroom and school wide expectations and allow for learning all throughout the building. Thank you for Being A Senator!

Prom tickets will be $35 for a couple and $25 for a single if purchased before the dance. Prom is at the Illinois Building at the Fairgrounds on April 30th from 8-11 pm. Any questions see a senior class officer or Mr. Kramer.

Sophomore students who have Mr. Reed 5th or 6th hour, Hull 4th hour and Wieneke 3rd hour should report to the commons for PARCC testing today during periods 1-3 and 5-7 and Friday during periods 1-3.

Freshmen students who have Mrs. Taft should report to the commons Monday morning for PARCC testing. Taft’s freshmen classes will test Monday during periods 1-3 and 5-7 and Tuesday during periods 1-3 and 5-7.

Springfield High School Class of 2018 Garage Sale, When: May 14 (7a.m.-12p.m.), Where: 1010 Williams Blvd. Near Washington Park and Why: to Raise money for Prom.

Congratulations to Mrs. Stash’s 1st hour class for raising $90.69 (and a Chuck E. Cheese token) for the Me-to-We Change for Change Campaign. They will receive donuts very soon! Thank you to all of the classes who donated. In all, SHS raised $300.62! Way to go and thank you!

Bonjour Senators! “Be our guest” will be sung and well as many other songs by the cast of Beauty and the Beast this Friday & Saturday at 7:30 and Sunday at 2:00pm. Come see Lumiere, Cogsworth, Babette, Madame de la Grande Bouche, Mrs. Potts, Chip and the other enchanted objects frantically work to break the spell to free them and the beast to be human again. Student tickets are $5.

Achtung Achtung German Club! Atención Spanish Club! We will be going to Six Flags in St. Louis on Saturday, May 7. If you would like to join us for a day of fun, please go to room 250 for German Club and to room 260 for Spanish Club this coming Friday, April 22 after school to sign up with a non-refundable deposit of $20. The rest will be paid by both clubs. There are only 25 spots per club available, so make sure to be quick to reserve your spot.
