Good morning Springfield High! Today is Tuesday, April 26, 2016 where successful Senators follow the classroom and school wide expectations and allow for learning all throughout the building. Thank you for Being A Senator!

Prom tickets will be $35 for a couple and $25 for a single if purchased before the dance. Purchase your tickets during both lunch shifts. Prom is at the Illinois Building at the Fairgrounds on April 30th from 8-11 pm. Any questions see a senior class officer or Mr. Kramer.

Freshmen students who have Ms. Moon or Ms. Negele for literature will take the PARCC test in the commons today, Wednesday and Thursday during periods 1-3 and 5-7. Bring a pencil and headphones.

Achtung German Club! Atencion Spanish Club! We still have a few open spots for our trip to Six Flags on Saturday, May 7. Please see Herrn Koeppel in room 250 or Senor Reichert in room 260 ASAP to sign up with a deposit of $20 if you are interested in coming along.

Grab a friend or two and make plans to decorate the school grounds and football field as well as cheer the runners and walkers of the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure on the evening of Friday the 13th of May. Pink fireworks at the Capitol after the race. Interested or any questions please talk to Ms. Vanderleest, Mrs. Lauer or Mrs. Dearing.

Achtung Achtung German Club! We will be showing the German movie "Anatomy 2" after school Today, April 26 in room 250. Please see the parent-permission form on the German Club calendar online for more information. Snacks and drinks will be provided. Hope to see you there.

It’s not too late to purchase your copy of the 2016 Capitoline Yearbook. You can pay 1/2 now and the other when the book arrives the first part of May. See Mrs. Eslahi in room 254 for more details.

Anyone wishing to participate in the high school summer volleyball program or trying out for the Fall 2016 Volleyball Team - please contact Coach Riggle at ariggle13@yahoo.com.

The girls soccer team improved to 7-1 in the CS8 with a 8 to 0 victory over Lanphier. Sarah Cross, Sarah Wagner, Katie Collins, Morgan Gill, Maria Jorquera and Jaycia Rhone scored for the Senators. Kalynn Clearwater and Sarah Cross were in goal for the shut-out.
