The SHS Boys Track and Field team competed at the Wanner Knights Invite at Prospect High School on Friday night. Top finishers for SHS were: Eddie Smith 5th in the 100; Wendel Burnes 7th in the 100; Tony Williams 6th in the Big Boy 100; Deon Avant 8th in the 200; the 4x100 relay team of Deon Avant, Nnamdi Onyewuchi, Eddie Smith, and Wendel Burnes placed 7th, and Heath Warren finished in 1st place in the 1600 meter run. The boys next compete at the City Track meet at Lanphier High School tomorrow night! Come out and support the boys as they go for their 8th straight city title! Field events begin at 4:30 with Running events at 5:30.
