Good morning Springfield High! Today is Thursday, May 12, 2016 where successful Senators follow the classroom and school wide expectations and allow for learning all throughout the building. Thank you for Being A Senator!

Mandatory Senior Meeting, Wednesday, May 18th, 2nd hour in the commons In order to receive Cap and Gown, all previous years textbooks and library books must be turned in or paid in full. AND ALL school lab fees must be paid.

Springfield Clinic is giving free sports physicals to incoming 10-12th graders this Saturday from 8am to 10am. The clinic is on North 1st Street and you must be accompanied by a parent.

FREE T-SHIRTS FOR BLOOD DONORS!! Staff & Students 16 or older can donate blood to the Central Illinois Community Blood Center on Tue., May 17, from 8:30am-2:00pm, in the Auditorium. Students aged 16 must have a signed parental consent form. You must sign up during lunch-in the Commons, before school or after school-in the Guidance Office by 3:30 pm on Monday, May 16. Teachers & Staff do not need to sign up, you can report to the Auditorium at your convenience. Blood donations SAVE LIVES! Any questions-please see Mr. Williams.

The class of 2017 will be selling breadsticks on Thursday! get your delicious papa johns breadsticks and sauce for only three dollars, Thursday in the commons.

As requested, the Class of 2019 tshirts are available to purchase!!! See Zaire Harris, Raj, Jack or Charlie. They are $7 each.

Pick up your yearbooks in Mrs. Eslahi classroom, room 254.
 If you have not paid for your yearbook and would like to purchase one bring your payment of $70 to room 254 Friday before they run out.

Attention SHS Guys and Girls: Want to be a part of an awarding-winning, Nationally ranked Showchoir?! Here is your chance. IN Session Showchoir auditions will be held on Wednesday, May 18th in the commons area. Callbacks and any overflow will be held on Thursday, May 19th in the choir room at 6pm. Auditions will be held in two sessions.
Session1 “ from 3-5pm-current high school students, (suggested not required) Session 2 “ from 5:30-7:30pm “incoming freshmen overflow from session 1. Vocal/dance/showchoir, musical theatre and/or choir experience is preferred but not required. Please come dressed in comfortable clothes that you can move around in.

Hey SHS!! if you're interested in great music and performances than you're in luck!!! The Annual SHS Spring Concert this Thursday at 7pm featuring the Multi-Award Winning IN-SESSION SHOWCHOIR and an amazing all girl group called Scarlet Harmony and Mixed Chamber Choir and The 7 & Senators!!! All these groups are filled with amazing music and voices but also great soloists!! This Thursday is going to be EPIC and I forgot to mention it's FREE!! Hope to see everyone there!!

The Lady Senators softball team notched a city series win against Southeast last night 13-3. Ashley Robinson, Jaclyn Carey, Annabelle Hope all led the way with multiple hits. Julia Langfelder and Elise Caton both had doubles to lead the way. Good job girls!
