Morning Announcements for Tuesday, March 17
Junior and Senior Girls interested in engineering: The University of Iowa Society of Women Engineers is holding a weekend conference April 17th and 18th. The conference is designed to introduce women to the opportunities in the engineering field, tour the Iowa campus and network with girls who have shared interests. Applications are due April 4. Attention Attention Juniors and Seniors! The following schools are scheduled to visit: -
Today Truman State at 10 AM and Bradley at 2:15 PM, Wednesday SIU-Edwardsville, Friday Southeast Missouri State 9 AM, and March 26 MacMurray 9 AM. Don't forget that passes are not required for lunch visits but you must have a pass from the guidance office up to the day before to attend the college sessions! Please ask the Guidance office for a college pass to attend these sessions!
Crimestoppers will pay $50 to anyone who has information that leads to the arrest of the person responsible for the recent rash of graffiti in the restrooms. See any administrator or security guard with your information, and remember, you will remain anonymous!

All Boys basketball players should stop by Coach Reed's room 228 to set information on the team banquet. This year's banquet will be on Sunday, March 29th at 5 PM at Diamond's Buffet.
There will be a mandatory NHS meeting for Seniors this Wednesday. We have lots to do so please come on time!
Newspaper applications are now available. Pick one up in room 362. All applications are due to Ms. Negele by Thursday, March 26.
All Scholastic Bowl team members need to see Mr. Adkins after school today. The varsity will practice, but the JV will have a brief meeting regarding the state tournament on Friday. Please make sure you are there. The meeting will take less than 10 minutes.
SENATORS! There is still time to help your school win $500 and gain $50 for yourself in the process! Posters for the City-wide "WHAT IF IT WERE YOU" HIV POSTER CONTEST will be accepted until Friday March 27. Create an 8.5 X 11 inch poster that answers the question, what would you do if you were HIV positive? The Springfield Urban League's Health Initiatives Department is challenging students at Springfield, Southeast and Lanphier by offering a $500 prize to the school with the most entries and a $50 award to the student with the most votes. Southeast is currently in the lead with 45 entries! Are we gonna go down like that?! Information packets can be found in the Main and Guidance Offices. Please see Ms. Eslahi or Mr. Caldwell for details or to see previous entries. All final submissions should be placed in Ms Johnson's mailbox in the main office.
Ladies and Gentleman of the class of 2010. A glorious extension has been made to allow for the purchase of more of your sensational Dub 10 sweatpants in all their glory. The cost is $20 and you can sign up and pay for your pair in the commons on both lunch shifts all the way through Wednesday of this week.

Remember, JSA Spring state registration is due today. Alicia Pettys will be in Mr. Lightfoot's room after school if you need to turn your $99 and permission slip in. Also, stop by if you would like a Spring State brochure.
The Senior Class will be selling Popeye's Chicken this Thursday! Get 3 flavor-packed chicken strips, a side of mashed potatoes with gravy, a delicious buttermilk biscuit, and barbecue sauce all for only $5! Also, like always, extra biscuits will be 50 cents each!
