Attention Attention Juniors and Seniors! The following schools are scheduled to visit: -
Today University of Missouri, St. Louis at 10:15 AM. Don't forget that passes are not required for lunch visits but you must have a pass from the guidance office up to the day before to attend the college sessions! Calendar and posters are on the Senior bulletin board, located by the Guidance office door, will have date and time the university or college will be in the building. Please ask Mrs. Sharp in the Guidance office for a college pass to attend these sessions!

The General Assembly scholarships from Rich Brauer, Larry Bomke, and Raymond Poe provide one year's tuition at a state university in Illinois are now available from Mr. Lawson.

The American Cancer Society is offering a Summer Research program to Juniors. See Mr. Lawson if interested.

Hey, Freshmen! Hey, Sophomores! Hey, Juniors! Hey, Seniors! The class of 2012 will be having a Chicken Dinner Friday, February 27 from 4:30 - 7 in the commons. Dinner includes chicken, mashed potatoes, corn and a roll for $7.50. Please turn in your order with payment to Ms. Barkmeier in room 370.

Juniors & Seniors in need of NHS hours can volunteer at the Senior Citizen's Dinner on March 18th in the Commons at 4 PM. Sign up at the NHS board or see Ms. Maloney for questions!

Be A Senator is selling some really amazing, student designed t-shirts! Congratulations to Jordan Gary and Niko Boeker who were the winners in the t-shirt contest. Now their t-shirt designs are available for $10, extended sizes are a little more. See the table in the commons for an order form or Ms. Greco in room 256. Money must be paid when ordering. We will be selling shirts through February 27th.

Attention Spanish Club members: Permission slips for bowling Friday are now available from the Spanish teachers. The form and $2 deposit must be turned in by 3:30 tomorrow.

All Spanish Club members, including those not currently enrolled in Spanish, must sign up for the International Dinner no later than Tuesday, March 3rd. See Senora Kuhn with questions.

Go Green to Get Green. It just takes an empty can or bottle. Trade your empty can or plastic bottle for a chance to win $25.00 cash. Find the Environmental Club table in the commons at lunch to enter. Remember, you can't win if you don't play! Go Green!!!

Since Mrs Kidd will be gone for a couple days you will need to show your ID when you pick up your bus ticket today. Pick up times are at lunch and after school

There will be a MANDATORY meeting for all girls planning on trying out for softball, today afternoon in room 356. If you have a scheduling conflict, please see Coach Seiple sometime BEFORE Wednesday.

Literature Club will be having a meeting today to make posters for our visiting author Cinda Chima. We hope to see all members there and we will be signing up volunteers for Open Mic Night. Remember Literature Club on Wednesday in Ms. Negle's room!

The class of 2012 will be selling delicious Subway sandwiches and yummy Puppy Chow tomorrow February 26 during lunch in the commons. You may purchase a turkey or ham sandwich for $3. Puppy Chow will cost $1 a bag. So remember....eat fresh, eat Subway,

Attention German Club! We will be having a meeting tomorrow, after school in room 262 to talk about the up-coming International dinner. Please attend as we need to organized this event.

Hey JSA, come to our meeting tomorrow after school, in Mr. Lightfoot's room. All members should be in attendance to received Spring State information and get their official membership card AND share ideas for what we should debate, watch, or do the rest of the year. After all, this is a democracy! This meeting will be brief, but we'd like to see everyone in attendance.

The Lady Senator basketball team won the first game of the sectional last night by beating Bloomington 61 to 42. SHS was led in scoring by Kelly Korza with 19 points. Kasi Korza had 15 and Zahna Medley contributed 14. Next up is the sectional championship tomorrow night in Lincoln starting at 7:30 against Decatur MacArthur. Good job ladies.

There will be a mandatory meeting for all Football players after school Tuesday, March 3rd. This includes graduating seniors. If you are out for another sport, Winter or Spring, Please see Coach Taylor or Mr. Dorr. The meeting will be in the cafeteria at 3:30 PM.

The Wrestling Senators lost their sectional final Wrestling meet with Triad by a score of 35 - 24. The Senators finished the season 18 - 2 and were City & Conference and Regional Champions. Great Job!

Come out and see our four Senior Boys Basketball players cap off their home career on Friday night against Glenwood. For fan appreciation High Pride will have pizzas delivered to the cheering section during the second half of the sophomore game. Anyone wearing Red to school on Friday can sign up for a drawing for a gift card in Coach Reed's room.

It's cold outside, so what's better than a fuzzy, warm pair of sweatpants? That's right Dub 10, the junior class will be selling class sweatpants starting tomorrow at lunch in the commons!
