Morning Announcements for Friday, October 17
Any student that had pictures taken on Retake day, your ID is available in the Main office. Beginning Monday, October 20 students will be required to show ID's as you enter the building. A lanyard will be provided Monday morning for your ID. We will not require ID's to be worn.

Attention all students! Make your voice heard! Are you interested in being the District 186 Student School Board member, or being a part of the Superintendent's Roundtable? Still interested but have not submitted an application? It's not too late! See your principal for more information about how to apply. The deadline has been extended to October 30th.
Attention Attention Do you know that Springfield High School is haunted by a ghost named Rachel? Come hear the true story about Rachel at Do Something's Haunted House on Wednesday, October 22, from 7 to 8:30 here at SHS. Tickets are $3 per person and can be bought at the Commons door. There will be a tour of the eerie boiler rooms where Rachel's cracked tombstone lies! Don't forget the Haunted House, here on October 22!
There will be a Do Something Meeting on Tuesday, October 21! Come to help plan for our upcoming events! New members are always welcome, so come have fun while volunteering and raising money for the community! Don't forget the Do Something meeting in Ms. Huffman's room on Tuesday October 21.
Do Something is holding a Dodgeball Tournament. We will have team sign up sheets for teams in the Main Office and Mrs. Huff's room. Teams will consist of 7 people. Teams must consist of at least 2 girls and price is $5 per person. Entry forms must be turned in to Ms. Huff by the 10th of November with all money. We will only except the first 40 forms turned in. So hurry and sign up!
Attention Class of 2012: If you have not ordered a class t-shirt and would like to do so, please see Ms. Mary Davis in room 363. The cost is $10 and payment is expected at the time of order. The last day to order a t-shirt is today.
Attention, Attention - The Freshmen Class is sponsoring a garage sale tomorrow from 7 AM - 1 PM on Noble Ave. Please feel free to donate items or simply browse for bargains. We need your donations to make this a success. See the flyers in the hallways or contact Ms. Barkmeier in room 370 or Ms. Mary Davis in room 363 for additional information.
Attention Spanish Club members: The Club t-shirts have arrived. Bring your money to your Spanish teacher today to claim your t-shirt. Short sleeve shirts are $10 and long sleeve shirts are $12.

German Club is showing the movie "M" on Tuesday, October 21 right after school. If you are interested, please come by room 262 to pick up a parent permission form, fill it out and return it.
Tickets for Saturday night's Football game against SHG will be on sale today at SHG only, from 8 AM - 3 PM. Tickets are $4 for adults and $2 for students. Tickets will also be available at the gate.
Attention all science students who sold butter braids. They will be here Tuesday, October 21. You MUST pick them up after school in the commons. They need to stay frozen. Please make arrangements.
There will be an Environmental Club meeting Monday after school in Ms. Vander Leest's room. Everyone is welcome.
Any Senior who plans to apply to: The University of Illinois, deadline is November 1st. Illinois State University is November 15th.
Reminder to all JSA members: Fall State registration is due today! Please turn it in to Mr Lightfoot in room 330. You need to turn in a permission slip and the registration fee.
