It's that time of year again! The sign-up for this year's version of HIGH PRIDE will be today after school in Coach Reed's room 228. There will be a drawing for free pizzas at that time. If you can't make it, sign up with Coach Reed at another time
Anyone interested in being a member of this year's Scholastic Bowl team needs to attend a meeting after school tomorrow in Mr. Adkins' room 230. The meeting will last about 30 minutes. If you play a fall sport and cannot attend the meeting, please see Mr. Adkins sometime next week.
There will be a meeting of the Environmental Club today after school. The meeting will be in Ms. Vander Leest's room, Room 510. Anyone who is interested in joining the Environmental Club please come.
Applications for Spanish Club are now available from the Spanish teachers. Complete a form and turn it in with your $6 dues no later than Friday, September 12. Our first meeting will be Tuesday September 16th.

Attention Attention Juniors and Seniors! The following schools are scheduled to visit: - September 8th at 9 AM U of I Springfield. September 9th at 9 AM is Springfield College, September 10th Vanderbilt, TN, and September 11th Washington U. Don't forget that passes are not required for lunch visits but you must have a pass from the guidance office up to the day before to attend the college sessions! Calendar and posters are on the Senior bulletin board, located by the Guidance office door, will have date and time the university or college will be in the building. Please ask Mrs. Sharp in the Guidance office for a college pass to attend these sessions!

Any Senior who would like to retake the ACT and the State test should see Mr. Lawson for a voucher. The FREE ACT will be given on Saturday, October 25th and on Tuesday, October 28th, the state test will be given at SHS.

Girls golf: Last night at the titan invite; Teams Edwards and Ribelin and Ramirez and McDermott fired a fierce 47 while the team of Harms and Riefler rounded out the score with a even 50! The team finished in a very close 4th place.
Girls tennis team won their first dual meet last night against Columbia Rockbridge 9 to zero. Columbia Singles were won by Mia Elmore, Laura Shull, Jane Dixon, Olivia Rosen, Sarah Agamah, and Farah Tamuziddin. #1 Doubles, Dixon and Rosen won, #2 Doubles was won by Agamah and Lauren Harbison. Tamuziddin and Elly Schoenburg won their match at #3 doubles. Great job girls and good luck in Edwardsville this weekend
Homecoming court elections will be held on both lunch shifts this Friday in the commons. Seniors will nominate 8 couples and juniors will nominate 2 couples. Don't forget to vote Friday at lunch.
